If I ever get a chance to stop between west market and central ave in Newark I am always surprised by the above average customer service. Whether it be day or busy night the employees are always hustling with a purpose and it radiates off their customer service skills. The flavor and food quality is always completely different from McDonald’s and Wendy’s that is more common in the area… always hot and fresh and full of that checkers flavor we all love. The Checkers location on Hartford in Newark has outdoor eating drive thru walk in and alot of parking

Overall this is a pretty good checkers, I’ve gone through the drive thru a lot and also ordered doordash a few times. The burgers and fries are always really tasty and well prepared. Sometimes the drive thru line can take a while to move but that’s to be expected, especially during later hours of the night. Usually my go to for late night eats when In Newark

Every time I come to this Checkers in Newark, NJ, no one knows how to redeem the coupons that Checkers directly sends to us. They always say that the link doesn't work, the code is invalid, but then when I asked them to scan the QR code they're not able to scan the QR code. Make that make sense, because it doesn't. If your company sends out coupons with QR codes, you as the employee should be able to scan that QR code in order for the customer to be able to utilize the coupon. It's giving me scammer vibes. ( we not going to scan a QR code we just going to tell them to read the numbers to us and then after we have gotten the numbers, we'll tell them it's invalid, it doesn't work, and there's nothing we can do about it , so then they can use it later) that's the type of Vibes this gives me because this happens every time I come to this checkers❗️❗️?? Then when you ask them questions like why is it that y'all never know how to redeem the coupons that is sent to us the customers from Checkers which is the company you work for they want to give us attitude, which is very unprofessional. The night I went there I asked for the corporate number and they told me to get it online. So I asked for the name of the manager on duty and she came to the window talking about my name is Nicole I'm the manager. She was very unprofessional and their attitudes suck, instead of trying to rectify the situation. They never have a solution to the issue which is being able to redeem the coupons either through the reward program or through the coupons that sent directly from checkers. If I go to any other Checkers they are able to redeem the coupons with no problem and guess what they scan the QR code without an attitude. It sucks that this is the only Checkers in Newark. The attitude of those workers will cause Checkers to lose customers and lose money!! Who wants to spend their money at a place that has horrible customer service and could never get anything right? I get offers from Checkers and I have to download certain things on my phone and fulfill those offers before getting coupons to be used at Checkers but with that type of service I would not use Checkers again. I made sure to call the corporate office right there in the parking lot to put in a complaint. Horrible all around. It's sad because you got people that's working there that don't care about the company's bottom line. If you don't like your job, quit!! No customer should have to be subject to your unprofessional attitude.The owners need to start pulling up at their own establishments to check and see how paying customers are being treated at their establishments. I gave this Checkers of one star only because zero star wasn't available❗️❗️

First of all Checkers need better Managers, Crew Members with positive attitude, welcoming friendly attitude to customers when they take orders at the front window, walk in, or drive-thru window. They open the window after you order and then slam the window as if someone told them to work at Checkers. Secondly, if someone ask for they food that they are paying for to be fresh and hot, and they don't mind waiting for it why have an attitude and say ALL OUR FOOD FRESH instead of preparing the CUSTOMER food the way they ask without all the Ghetto Remarks and stay PROFESSIONAL at all times regardless. Third, stop giving people cold food and making the food wrong after a customer tell you how they want their food, and you don't have to worry about a CUSTOMER coming back with an attitude about their food is wrong. WITHOUT US CUSTOMERS CHECKERS WON'T HAVE A BUSINESS‼️ Stop HIRING these Young kids with ATTITUDES and no RESPECT and stop HIRING these OLDER WOMEN with ATTITUDES that's BITTER with NO RESPECT‼️ IT'S NOT GOOD FOR CHECKER BUSINESS SERIOUSLY‼️GET it together

Good Customer service is clearly not a priority here. Drive thru lane was clear but was told to “reverse” because they were fixing something. Hmm…ok cool. How about close it off or post a sign? Instead of having me dangerously reverse in a tight lane where another car can (and did) approach. I don’t like that.

Tell me why when going through the drive thru, the person at the window would tell me to stop several yards away from the window just so she can yell at me with frustration to come up to the window ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️ I was so confused, I told her, how hard is it to go through a drive thu with that unnecessary step?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
