I have been eating here for a little under a year and the food has never disappointed me favorite is the curry, goat, rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. However, I have tried the fried chicken red pea soup , jerk, chicken, oxtails, curry chicken, beef patty. Regardless, what you pick you’re gonna find chunks of ginger in it, so be careful as you eat some meals are spicier than others, but all are very flavorful in my opinion. I am hoping in the future to try the salmon option when they have a fish fry in the summer. I personally do not like any Jamaican restaurants, macaroni, and cheese, so I have not tried their version at all, nor have I tried the typical African-American sides like collard greens, candied yams, and so forth. I stick to the typical jamaican options for sides. I see signs for roti too never tried that yet . Rank the atmosphere three out of five because the neighborhood is a bit rough know in the area so be mindful of limitations on parking and people randomly standing on the side walk.

Don’t waste your money. I had curry, my daughter had stew and my husband had oxtails all nasty. The coco bread tasted like too much baking powder. They don’t have authentic Jamaicans in their kitchen.

Had to go back to the store missing part of my order , I paid for 4 dumplings and only received one very burnt dumpling , food was not the best and two young women working the counter DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING…customer service is everything but attitude and slowness is not it

These reviews cannot be true! I ordered the Rasta pasta with oxtail and shrimp and got food poisoning. I was sicker than I ever been in my life! It tasted reheated and the shrimp was frozen bag shrimp from the grocery store. No oxtail just fat.. I don’t know if it was the shrimp or the liquid the pasta was floating in but I got sick not even a hr after consuming. My partner ordere goat it was cold in the middle so that let us know it was all reheated.. for future reference my Jamaican friend told me always go to a place called TOP TASTE! It’s the best Carribiean food in the city always made fresh jam rock are lying to the ppl and it is wrong..

THIS PLACE ROCKS. First of all, I ordered a large plate of oxtail from another store called MacKriba kitchen. It was a shame they gave me four small pieces of oxtail that were mostly bone and I paid over $30 for one order. So I decided to check out this place Jamrock and they gave me 8 to 10 pieces of oxtail for large plate for $29. they were generous of the oxtail sauce as well. If you want good oxtail worth paying for GET IT FROM HERE. I’m from Flatbush Brooklyn I know what good oxtail supposed to taste like. This spot is IT !

I had to make a change in my review. I ordered oxtail which this restaurant tends to never disappoint. However I got oxtail was simply the commercial oxtail sauce. They didn't have any saw pimentos, there was no thym there was no Ginger it was simply no seasoning at all! In addition I got jerk chicken and the jerk chicken sauce was a drizzle. I even offered to pay extra and the guy refused. No one has time for that and then too many other restaurants that are going to comply and be better. My jerk chicken was tough and rough. You need the teeth of a lion to eat it.

I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about but this place is delicious. Food seems fresh and is really flavorful. We love to order from here.
