Manny’s BBQ & Restaurant is a hot, pre-made lunch spot. I arrived around 3:00 PM, so it is highly possible the food had just been sitting out for too long.The ordering process is a bit tough since the staff barely speaks English, so you mostly just point at the items you want. If you want a quick, grab-and-go BBQ, this is the place to go. I was looking for a quick lunch where I didn’t have to wait to be served, but I also didn’t want fast food. So, I decided to try Manny’s since it was the only BBQ spot in Newark I hadn’t visited yet.

Manny's is so historical in Newark. I never miss a beat when I come here to make sure I come to Manny authentic Dominican food. I love the Roz condoles and their oxtails today. I got pepper steak.
