I usually order a meatball sub whenever I come here but from a friend's recommendation, I came in wanting pasta. Despite some initial hiccups for my order, the staff worked hard to right the wrong. Eventually, I came out with pasta I wanted in hand. And you know what? It was worth the wait. I'm surprised they don't list the pasta toppings on the menu but just listed on a board but the toppings made a world of difference to my pasta. I haven't known I could there were two other types of cheeses they serve and let alone, I could have as much cheese I want. Really... try their pasta and pick whatever toppings you like.

The meatballs here are phenomenal, I had the pasta bowl with beef meatballs, it blew my mind, the meatballs are totally made from scratch and authentic, highly recommend

First, the staff is very friendly. Now to get down to it. The pasta isn't cooked right and is smothered in butter. The turkey meatballs lacked flavor and I could make better at home. The veggie meatballs were gross. It's hard to make a good veggie meatball and if you can't make a good one don't sell them. The salad was just lettuce, tomatoes, and croutons which is so lacking. I felt like I had a high student make me a meal. I had heard great things about this place but was greatly let down. It's an hour after eating there and I regret picking that place to eat.

Awesome place downtown. Delicious food and timely service. Very nice atmosphere. Wish they were open on the weekends.

I was supposed to go to a burger place when this place on the corner of Halsey and Bleecker caught my attention, Meatball Obsession Plus. I went in and was pleasantly greeted by a very fine lady, I told her it was my first time and she guided me through the menu and how to order. I got a double which is 2 meatballs, spaghetti for pasta, some vegetables for topping and some cheese. The owner, Paul introduced himself to me, he was very gracious and grateful for trying something from the menu. Although I want my pasta really al dente, theirs was tender to the bite but it was not soggy nor soft. Everything was made to complement each other, taste and texture. Meatballs was moist and soft, chunky vegetables crisp and tender and a spicy kick to the sauce.

First exposure to this place today as they came to my corporate office cafeteria as a guest vendor. Sadly I'm less than impressed. Tried both beef and turkey meatballs in a bowl. Both meatballs were dry (especially the turkey) and the sauce was bland. Clearly these aren't your Jersey Italian Grandma's meatballs. Maybe I'm spoiled but won't be trying again ...

I ate here one time. The food was delicious. The veggie pasta was great. However I was sick to my stomach all day after eating the food and I also saw a hair in my pasta. It was disappointing because the food was good.

The people here are very sweet and attentive to each and every customer. It's surprisingly refreshing after you've lived in the city for a while to be treated with patience and friendliness! My friends have raved about this place for a long time! I got two turkey meatballs and a veggie ball in my trio. The turkey meatballs are rather homogenous on the inside and not too exciting, but the veggie meatballs had a deep, fried flavor and were moist enough to fall apart under my fork in this lovely way. Also you get to put on toppings!! I found adding zucchini was really helpful to cut through the richness of the sauce every once in a while. Also if you get ricotta you get entire dollops of it and it's very exciting.

For those of you still mourning the closure of their 6th Ave kiosk, this is the spot for you. (Assuming you don't mind a little time on NJ Transit.) The store is large and friendly, with ample seating. A bit odd for those of us used to the "eat and walk from a paper cup" way of doing things in Manhattan. Thankfully, the makings of their meatball dishes mostly still taste the same, even if served up on a plate in a much more civilized fashion. The fresh mozzarella pearls are still the bomb. The accompanying bread is the biggest change - I received a slice of regular sourdough versus the soft ciabatta they used to serve in perfect, pillowy little rectangles. The biggest bummer of this location is really the limited hours - unless you're planning to go for weekday lunch you're out of luck.
