When in the Newark area, I suggest to try small neighborhood Portuguese restaurants, and this is one of them. The food is good, the prices are way below New York City prices, and the food is totally European / Mediterranean in nature. You can sit down, and have a glass of wine with some olives, an entree or a nice appetizer, and a classic dessert, and not go much over $20-25+tax and tip.
