The atmosphere is like a tavern. The food was great. It tasted like another cultures home cooking. The waiter was a gentleman. I had a roasted duck and rice dish with a creme brulee desert. Only bad thing was the creme brulee didn't taste like anything to me. Not sweet or creamy. Kinda grainy actually. Idk if its more authentic that way or not. I haven't had it much in my life. Overall a really good experience.

Today, things didn't go as planned and we needed to order food to go.
No other area restaurants would take a to go order until after 3.
PortuCale came thru. We sat at the bar had a few drinks, the Barmaid was very attentive and kind.
This is why we come here, even when we live over an hour away.
Good food , Good service.

We ordered from here for a company party and had a great experience. The food was very fresh and tasted great. Even though they normally don’t offer delivery, the owner personally delivered the order, which we really appreciated. Excellent service and good quality food. Highly recommend!
