Even though we live an hour away, we gladly make the drive because this place is absolutely worth it. Tucked away on the edge of Newark's Ironbound, it's a true hidden gem that we've been coming to for over 25 years. The food is consistently outstanding, the portions are huge, and they serve the best sangria in the area. Great service, great value, and a place that never disappoints. If you haven't been, you're missing one of Newark's best-kept secrets!
Been coming here for 43 years. Feel like part of their family. Food is awesome, Sangria is great. Staff goes over board to make you feel welcome. Great for family get togethers and parties. If you are in Newark, you need to stop and have a meal.
The sangria was sour. Did not taste good at all with minimal fruit. The soup - skip it. It’s Chicken noodle from a can and no one can tell me otherwise. After that the meal got better. The calamari, the garlic shrimp, clams casino and the salmon we had for dinner were all delicious. The garlic mushrooms we had for appetizer were also yummy. So come and skip the first 2 options.
