This was our first time at the Spanish Tavern. We ordered paella marinera for 2 which was excellent! The appetizer was mushrooms in garlic, which was very tasty. The dessert choices were plentiful so we settled for flan and carrot cake. Both were wonderful. The service was stellar with very friendly staff. Ambience was very nice. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning!
Everything was excellent. The cuisine was outstanding, the ambiance was refined, and the service—from the server to the bartender—was exceptional. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and exceeded all expectations. A truly outstanding experience in every respect.
I have not been to the Spanish Tavern in years because I live in NYC but have gone to a couple of other spanish/portuguese restaurants in the area these past couple of months....hands down, I have to say I enjoyed my meal the most at the Spanish Tavern-the shrimp w/garlic was the best along with the paella...I am definitely going back to try some other dishes. Glad to know after over 40 years it is still great.
