Excellent place in downtown Newark. A couple of blocks from the Newark Penn Station and the Prudential Center. Great and convenient parking lot. Great and attentive staff. Food outstanding. Great place. Best Spanish / Portuguese (Iberian Peninsula) food we have had in Newark and we've been to more than a few. We will return, again and again!
Great restaurant! The dining room is beautiful. Everyone was polite and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp, Spanish ham, and clams casino. Also the wine selection was very good with Spanish, Portuguese and other wines.
We love The Spanish Tavern. Servers are excellent, ambience is great, food is terrific, and prices are good. We don't live nearby but that doesn't stop us from driving 2-1/2 hours to enjoy a meal there once in a while.
