I am highly disappointed by this restaurant as I had high hopes for it. The food overall was uninspiring. “The shrimp” was very good however, the sweet potato tots tasted bland and were likely frozen. The oxtail burger was also a let down and tasted like an unseasoned smash burger. (One thing I will commend them for is the quality of products as it taste of the quality advertised.) As a whole however, the burger didn’t have any of the oxtail taste or personality to it. The last thing I have a comment on is the Zanzi fries. They were terrible. My girlfriend and I took 3 bites and left the rest. The fries were not seasoned and the gravy was horrid. It tasted starkly bitter and was floury. I do not recommend. As for the service, it was below average. The seating was quick but, throughout the meal the server never introduced themself or particularly checked on us. As a whole, we didn’t feel cared for as customers. To add, throughout service he had both AirPods in and wasn’t very engaging.
All in all, I would go back but only for the shrimp burger as the restaurant as a whole was a letdown

My kids and I were in town visiting and decided to stop by. Two of my kids had the ox tail burger and I had a chicken sandwich and side salad. Before making it back to our room one of my kids complained about stomach pain. I also, had diarrhea for the past 8 hours. Didn’t get any rest due to being up using the restroom.

Oxtail burgers and the fries I couldn't stop eating. Server was really informative and courteous. Aniyah is her name. She stood on business saying "everything on the menu is good".
I've been contemplating coming here for over a year and finally made it.
I had a plain oxtail burger and fries. I couldn't stop eating the fries and the burger was everything.
My homey had oxtail burger, salad with Zanzi fries with came with cheese and jerk chicken chunks in & on the fries

I was searching for a place to go to while waiting for an NJPAC show and this place popped up. It is in Military Park just a few minutes walk from the theater. It is small and casual, not really a place to comfortably hang out for a long time, but great food and friendly service. I tried the shrimp burger (so juicy and huge!) with sweet potato tots (crispy, fresh and delectable). Really enjoyed the food.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new restaurant to try in the area. I would 100% recommend The Yard. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and taken care of. The customer service is amazing and we felt very welcome. The food was 10/10. It was so good that we tried to go back on Sunday but didn't realize they were closed. Thank you for a great experience.
I love this place so so much, I only went there once during a school trip and let me tell you it was incredible. I will never ever forget this place, can't wait to go again.
