Cozy little place with a cool vibe. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food cave or quickly and was absolutely delicious! My husband got the oxtail burger with fries and I got the shrimp burger with sweet potato tots. All of them were amazing. The shrimp burger was juicy and very flavorful. The tots were so good but the best part might have been the sauces. They brought over 3 little cups of sauces, a masala sauce I believe they called it and this creamy sauce they called Walla sauce that was perfect for the tots. I actually asked if they sold them by the bottle and was told they do! Might have to stop by and buy them. Will definitely be back.

Wife and I came to NJ PAC to see Yo Yo Ma perform and decided to eat here before the concert. I think the Yard may have out performed the concert.

I HIGHLY recommend makIN a trip to The Yard!! The food is INcredible and the service is even BETTER! Upon arrival we were greeted by a handsome gentleman that I assume to be the owner. If not he defINitely carried himself as such! He was warm and welcomIN and I felt at home right away. I ordered the oxtail burger and my fINace and son each ordered the lamb burgers. All of the food was FANTASTIC! Down to the FRESH cut fries!! The portion sizes were hearty and the prices were reasonable. Gotta give MAJOR LOVE to Aniya!! Ms. Grace herself!! Her personality and service was TOP NOTCH! Down to recommendIN me the oxtail burger and helpIN me get a staIN out of my hoodie from INjoyIN such deliciousness! She also played a couple of my songs while we were eatIN so that scored her extra poINts!! The vibe is chill and laid back. Come INjoy this thrivIN black owned business with INcredible vibes, food and service! If you have a layover its just 15 mINs from EWR, right next to NJPAC. 10 out of 10!!
I heartily suggest this location. Particularly following a performance at the NJPAC theater, the staff here provided excellent service. The tiny eating area was compensated for by the excellent service and careful attention to their patrons. The food was excellent, the sauces are delicious, and the burgers are outstanding. Cauliflower tots are equally delicious. quite open about what they have to offer. I enjoy being able to support Black-owned businesses as well. 🙌🏼 Much love to all of you!

If you haven’t been to The Yard yet, you are seriously missing out! The food was absolutely amazing—every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I ordered the shrimp burger with E40 sweet potato tots. I would have taken a picture but I ate it all. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they do.
Beyond the food, the staff was incredibly courteous and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. To top it off, the prices are just right for the quality and portion sizes you get. Love supporting a fantastic Black-owned business that delivers on every level. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend eating here! The food was delicious had the wings with the House sauce the lamb burger and Zanzi fries plus the Georgia pound cake and everything was fantastic. The sauces were great as well. The most enjoyable part other than the food was the service and atmosphere it was a very chill vibe. Amaya our waitress and the other gentleman there didn't catch his name were both great. Amaya was one of the best waitresses I've had she was inviting, friendly, and attentive. Will definitely be back!
