Had the ribs and mac and cheese. Very good and satisfying. For about $20, not a bad price. Their sauces are fresh and they were kind enough to put multiple sauces so I can try them.

What made someone say let’s take this culinary, cultured, urban oasis of a restaurant (Marcus B&P) and turn it into a mediocre bbq joint? Staff is sweet, but it has definitely changed for the worse. My husband and I were both given dirty glasses and better food can be found at your local chicken shack. Respectfully.

It was empty and service was not the best. No silverware in site. The music was nice. Everyone seemed new except the bartender. The server took 100 years to pick u the check. I won't be back here anytime soon.

Wow. A good find that makes you happy with great food and friendly service. Lots of options, including vegetarian. The turkey burnt ends and brussel sprouts are a must try! I'll be back... may not leave ?

Beware that the menu on their website is not the same as the one on the order apps, incl Toast which they control. E.g., the burger and rib sandwich both have cheese on it, which the website says. The apps don't though, and in fact both don't have the option to remove it, but have extra options, making you think it's not by default.

Service was fine but the food really wasn't that good. Mac and Cheese was overcooked with a broken sauce. Jerk chicken was like bbq covered in what seemed like uncooked jerk sauce. Not very authentic. Short ribs and ribs were just ok. I did not enjoy the cornbread either. The collards were just ok as well but the only side I would have if I returned.
I think their bar might be the best thing they have going. Unfortunately, I couldn't have a drink to review.

I liked the food when it was Marcus B&P but expected way better from the current rebranding. My wife and I shard a plate of several meats. The beef sausage was absolutely laughable. It looked like a dried up hotdog that you could get under a 7/11 heat lamp at 2 in the morning. Most southern style BBQ restaurants have amazing sausages but it seemed like Vibe isn't even trying with theirs. The other meats we ordered were better but still pretty flavorless compared to an authentic BBQ restaurant. An American style BBQ restaurant has been needed in Newark since Dino BBQ closed, but I really feel like they need to take some time to study how good BBQ is done. Visit any southern or midwestern state and take some notes.
I went today to try this place based on TikTok review. I ordered chicken, mac a cheese and cornbread. When I got home around hour after I picked it up. The cornbread was so hard. The chicken did not have any season and was very bland. The mac and cheese was not creamy and the noodles was overdose. I'm so upset that the food was not good.
