“This place is amazing! I have celiac disease and have a hard time finding safe places to eat. I had the gluten free chicken tender platter and chocolate chip cookies, which were both unbelievable. The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive and explained that everything was prepared separately using a dedicated fryer. My gluten consuming family also loved their food. My husband said it was the best pastrami he’s ever had and my son had an “extra cheesy” grilled cheese. The owner visited our table and introduced himself. Cannot recommend this place enough!“

“Food is always fresh. Kind of pricey and service is kind of slow here. It’s also always empty when I come. Hope it’s not a bad sign. It’s one of few healthy spots around. I know the other location in NJ already closed. But I enjoy my bowl and fresh smoothie all the time. Would recommend.“

“Eating my veggies has NEVER tasted so freaking good!

There I was, minding my own business, and the smells that came from their kitchen was AMAZING. So I wandered in, ordered the cucumber water, the spicy fried cauliflower and a spicy shrimp wrap.

The wrap was a AWESOME, but the fried Cauli was out of this freaking world! It had enough heat to make it interesting and a tangy blend of sweet, savory.

This is gonna be a HUGE problem, cause I'm not from this area and I don't know that I'll be able to NOT have this in my life.

“For dinner we when to RUMI and it was amazing! Appetizers absolutely delicious all our dinners were delicious fresh hot completely satisfied . And then we had complementary Turkish tea and we all had desserts which were absolutely delicious someone with a sweet tooth would love. “Today, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Tiana, at the Lyndhurst, NJ location. About 8 months ago, I ordered food while visiting my niece who lives in Wayne, NJ. “If you are looking for GOOD NY style pizza, you need to try Nonno's. There are many pizzerias in the Clifton / Nutley area, but in my opinion the pizza here is one of the best I have had. Sauce is favourable. Cheese is good quality unlike some places where they fall off the moment you pick up the slice. Service is super friendly and accommodating. It's a small place with a feeling of a neighbourhood-go-to pizzeria“

“Went this evening to try this new place as I was graving some shawarma. Had a beef shawarma that came with olives and pickles. Flavor was very authentic Middle Eastern in both the shawarma and pickles. I also had their fattoush which was very good. 2 people can easily be served from both the shawarma and fattoush! Overall, good food, nice place. Will be back.“

“This place was fantastic! Over the years I've been here maybe 10 times. I never complain when my friends or family suggest this place to eat for dinner. The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?‍? in the back is on point. Parking: Paid street parking can be a bit full sometimes, causing me to circle once or twice. I typically never have to walk more than a half a block.“

“I had a best experience within hummus Republic journal square where it serves fresh and flavorful Mediterranean food. What I liked the most was the pita—soft, warm, and packed with your choice of fillings. You can customize everything to your taste. My experience was great, and I’d definitely recommend it for a quick, healthy bite.“

“We ordered Cairo Falafel through Uber Eats, and overall it was a really great experience! The platters were flavorful and filling, but the absolute standout for me was the grilled veggie pita with fresh hummus. I honestly haven’t had anything like it before — the vegetables were perfectly charred, the pita was soft and warm, and the hummus tied everything together so well. Just thinking about it now has my mouth watering.

The only downside was the falafel. While they had good flavor, the texture was a little too dry, and they didn’t have that “wow” factor I was hoping for. Given the name, I expected them to shine more, but they fell short compared to the other items we tried.

That said, the overall meal was delicious, and I’ll absolutely be ordering again. Cairo Falafel clearly does a lot of things right, and I’m already looking forward to having that veggie pita again soon!“

“We stopped here for a 101:5 breakfast. We were hungry. The service was quick. We served our own coffee and sat by the window. The server quickly brought us our toasted bagels with sausage, egg and cheese. They were delicious and big enough that I brought half of mine home

“Great place to get a family dinner when you don't feel like cooking! The food is homemade and cooked with love! I absolutely love mashed potatoes and their mashed potatoes are so good.😊 It is not boxed but real lol.

Personally everything is good but the mashed potatoes with fried chicken and creamed spinach with a side of la Rosa sauce is my favorite meal.

Their french fries are so unique and tasty because their thick cut fries.

My sons loves their mac & cheese with fried chicken and yellow rice. I've recommended it to my coworkers and they all love it too!

If you're thinking about trying it, it's so much better in person because the customer service is great. The owner's wife is wonderful, love her, and the food is always freshly made.“
