“Calos Restaurant never disappoints! My absolute favorite is the linguine garlic with chicken and broccoli (yes, a custom order and they always get it perfect 🙌). The calamari is hands down the best, and they even offer a gluten-free option! And let’s talk about the drinks… Omg amazing. The mango lemonade and mango tea are my go-to favorites. 🥭✨ The arugula salad is to die for, and if you’re looking for a weekend treat, their brunch menu is pretty great too! Fresh, flavorful, and always made with love. A must-visit spot in North Arlington!”

They even took our group earlier than our reservation which was much appreciated as we were all from out of town and heading home immediately following lunch. The owner and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. They’re just genuine heartfelt people. The bagels are perfect, and the food always hits the spot. Love their breakfast sandwiches. “I absolutely love ordering from here! I’ve been eating here since I was in high school and since introducing it to my fiancée, it’s been both our favorite spot to order from. The fried dumplings are always so tasty and satisfying. I also enjoy the sesame chicken and my fiancée loves the shrimp lo mein combo, both never disappoints. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, and you can really tell they take pride in their family owned business and it shows. The recent renovations really enhance the cozy, homey atmosphere—it looks fantastic. Our friends and family all adore this place too. Can’t wait to order from here again!”

“I was a early to pick up a friend in the area and as I drove by this corner unassuming yet gorgeous and clean little bakery, I decided to stop to get a latte and see what they offered for breakfast. Owner created me graciously and I ordered a ham egg and cheese sandwich on a Portuguese roll that was delicious. As I’m eating I noticed several people coming in to but their home made Pastel di Natal ( showed in my pictures) and I had to try it! It was so fresh and amazing that I ordered 10 to go! OMG you guys have to stop by and try them ?. I will definitely come back to try other things, everything looks fresh and delicious. It’s a 10 out of 10 for me so yesss; I recommend this place!”

“I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Maguey a couple of times now and I can now say without a doubt that this place is now in my go-to list for places to eat in the Kearny area. I had the calamari every time I’ve gone and I believe it may be one of the best I’ve had. The calamari is fresh, fried perfectly, and the accompanying sauce is rich and flavorful. You can’t go wrong with any of the food on the menu as it’s all delicious. It might just be my personal taste, but I would prefer if they used maybe a pinch of salt more than they normally do. That is not to say these dishes are not spiced wonderfully, they definitely are. I just like salt. I hope more people stop into this restaurant and support the local business.”

Tyson fight and this place did not dissapoint. The
manager Frank was on it and I had to let him know I

“I just wanted to clarify myself to the worker in that restaurant especially the one in the front. We went at the restaurant today around 2pm. We went inside the restaurant and did not talk right away to let them know we were 2 customers, instead I stopped for a second and checked if we went to the right door. The worker in the front thought that we went in there to look for a guy and be with guy and do something. I just wanted to let that worker in the front know that we went there to eat and not to look for a guy. When we finished eating, that worker in the front got replaced with a young guy. I just don’t want the worker in there to think that we went there to look for a guy. We love to go to the church. Now a days, it is very important to do the right thing. We have a song in the church “choose the right.” Don’t judge the people by just physical appearance.
But other than that, the food was delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant.”

“Group of 6 on a Sunday at 1pm. The food was incredibly well seasoned and came out perfectly. Our server Claudia was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Everyone was super friendly and made the whole dining experience great. Prices are a bit high but for the quality of the food and given that everything is expensive these days it’s okay.”

“First of all I want to get something straight….I would recommend it 100000000% IF MY DAD STILL WAS THERE TONY DIPIAZZA!! It’s not the same since he left and never will be!!! When I was there with my family today showing 3 of my children and my boyfriend where I basically spent most of my childhood helping out my father especially on weekends the guy behind the counter was rude!! At first he was alright but he seemed annoyed and I’m not sorry I was explaining to my children the history of the place and it breaks my heart to know there is such crappy customer service there!! Anyone who knows who the original owners are of this place or worked for my dad would understand why I say that ! On that note I don’t plan on going back again at least for a while if that I enjoy showing my kids where I grew up but I’m highly disappointed in the food and service. Also no toilet paper in the bathroom or napkins in the napkin holders and the guy didn’t wash his hands when he touched money then made. Food and he put the money on the counter where he makes the pizza that’s so very unprofessional and insanitary!!”
