I've been a patron of Wild Wasabi for over a decade. To me, it is the best sushi in the area, despite the unassuming facade and dining room. The quality of the fish, seasonings, and bang for your buck are all impressive. Really, I've never ordered anything that I didn't like, but their tuna Hot Roll and yellowtail scallion roll are my perennial favorites. Since Covid, they have switched to a takeout only model ( still the case as of this review in July '22) but I used to like eating there, with a BYOB sake or truckload of cold beers- easy fun evening!

Fresh, highest quality, and awesome technique. One of the best in Bergen county. Although you can’t go wrong with any on the menu. My favorites are California roll ( the absolute best in comparison to all the places I’ve been to) , hwe dup bap ( they slice the same fish they have at the sushi bar for sashimi a la carte. No left offer fish here, and the combination of shredded daikon and flying fish roe are amazing when mixed in), spicy tuna ( again high quality tuna. I think they use bigeye because tuna quality for this usually reserved for low quality fish masked with spicy sauce is better than most). Sashimi just melt in your mouth. It’s a bit of a drive from where we live but it’s so worth it. they have been pickup only since Covid but that doesn’t change the quality one bit. Simply Delish! I’ll try to post pics next time. We were relishing on them before the thought occurred to us.

The food is delicious but some fish look expired and not fresh. Overall it’s pretty good, but some sashimi pieces could look better.

This is a Korean owned Japanese restaurant in the Westwood and currently takeout only during this pandemic period. Their sushi rolls and wasabi are excellent. I recommend this place.

The best sushi in Bergen County. My family has gone here for as long as I remember. It's an assuming spot, but the freshness of the fish, the ratio of fish to rice, and the quality of ingredients is never compromised. The spicy tuna is prepared with little Mayo, there is never skimping on fish or veggies in rolls, and the owners and employees are so kind and helpful. They even carry specialty Japanese items that other sushi spots in the area and even nyc do not. I am always disappointed by other sushi spots in the area, as this one is unmatched! Give it a try :)

Not the best sushi I had. I order the yellowtail sushi role that tasted fishy. The miso soup was extremely salty. Also the edamame had no flavor.

A little pricey, but the quality definitely makes up for it. Best spicy tuna rolls in the area by far.

I’ve been a customer of wild wasabi for 25 years, and I’ve never had a bad meal! Big up to Young and Chris for keeping the freshest fish, and lovely customer service. I recommend to all I know. Much continued success!

The best Japanese restaurant in the area! I've gotten their take out numerous times over these past couple of months, and they never disappoint. My personal favorites are their Dynamite roll and Spider roll (and of course, sashimi is a must). My brother also loves their Chicken Katsu!
