I had the pleasure of trying Cubita at a food festival today (the truck was set up at the RicoRico food fest at the Philly Expo Center). Let me tell you, if I had tried this spot first, I probably wouldn't have bothered to try anything else. It was THAT good. We tried the Philly cheese steak empanada, the smash burger empanada, the chicken & cheese empanada, the fried oreos, the fries, and the cuban sandwich. And there wasn't a loser in the bunch. The shrimp empanada was delicious(pro). It was gifted to us for waiting almost an hour for beef empanadas and a chicken sandwich(con). The beef ones were lacking severly in flavor(con). Shrimp is the only reason I am giving a 3/5. I hope this changes.

I’ve ordered several times and it’s usually really good, but the last 3 times I’ve ordered there the Cuban sandwich has been overly salty. To the chefs, please double check your pernil; it’s crazy salty. I thought the first time was a fluke, so I let it go.
