Groundworks Cafe & Lounge (Bubble Tea, Yogurt, Crepe, Coffee & more)

Love the place but i would appreciate if music was less louder because many people come in here to do some work on laptop and loud music can be distracting. I understand it is not a library but i feel many people would agree with me:)

came for a midday snack. crepes are delicious. kids loved the froyo there were several board games to choose from. were had a great afternoon at this cafe. staff was friendly & welcoming.

Today I went for coffee… Barista was very rude…Did not want to be there… Rolled eyes with order. Very strange!

The place has strong smells that might come from frying. I ordered 5 macarons and got a broken plastic box, all macarons slipped out of the box when I tried to get in my car.

Long story short, I’ve come here before, even when they first opened. Loved it ! Tried the other coffee shop (Kubo) across the street because they had some viral latte I wanted to try; they didn’t speak when I walked in, had me standing there for 5 mins before being greeted, then when I was finally acknowledged, the worker didn’t even know the menu or if they were making the drink I wanted still or not. I was going to get something else but I was like, why give these people money after that horrible customer service; plus, they seemed to be messing up orders because people were complaining about it when I was there…long story short, I went across the street, sticking with Groundworks. As soon as I came in, they greeted me, made me feel welcomed and had an overall family vibe. The same vibe I felt when I first walked in there when they opened. And of course, the coffee is AMAZING!!! Didn’t mean to try to cheat on you guys lol I’ve learned my lesson :)

Great place to come and chill out. Coffees, crepes and even some pizza! Kid friendly too, with some cool games at the back and a huge tv with all the channels! We will be regulars.

I was getting my phone fixed in the area and decided to stop in. I ordered a crepe with was amazing. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. Will definitely stop in again as I realized right before leaving that they still have the soft serve yogurt with toppings. Can't wait to go back.

I have been to this establishment a few times to get matcha. It's one of the best matcha's in the area, it's bitter and not full of sugar (you can add sugar or honey if you'd like but bitter matcha is authentic).
I've had the pleasure of being served by several different employees and never experienced any rude attitude or behavior. Each staff member was pleasant and reminded me how bitter their matcha can be, lol (most ppl prefer some sugar). I've brought friends here as well, they also had a good experience and said they look forward to returning in the future.

I'd support this small business again in the near future.

Got the crepes here twice so far and it’s always delish and they don’t skimp on the filling. The milk tea I got was good too ?

Ground works is a very open and layed back cafe. The food is great especially the Nutella crepe and the chicken and waffle the atmosphere is very peaceful and fun

If I could give it no stars I would, I am not a complainer especially because it is a self serve place but a few friends and I went to this yogurt place at 9:30 pm a place that closes at 10 should accommodate, we walk in then we’re given nasty looks and an attitude for simply walking in, we serve ourselves our ice cream and my friend tasted hers by licking the top of the ice cream when a women with a child in her arms who looked like she was not working yelled “do not eat the ice cream before paying” which was a bit rude especially because we weren’t doing anything wrong, she was simply tasting the ice cream after they do not offer sample cups. My question is how will I know if I like the flavor or not if not tasted and what if I don’t like flavor after spending 12 dollars on it. We were watched and treated like criminals for the rest of the stay at this place and every single person in our group were charged an extra dollar for one of our friends testing a flavor. I will not be returning, disappointed to say the least. I understand it being a very kid oriented place but we are all grown women and to be treated as children was disgusting.

Groundworks Cafe in Nutley is hands down the best in town. Every time I visit, the baristas are incredibly kind and friendly. The cafe offers plenty of comfortable seating and tables, making it a great spot whether you're enjoying a meal or working on your laptop. The free and fast WiFi is a definite plus. The bathrooms are always spacious and impeccably clean.

What I appreciate most is that Groundworks Cafe stays open late, making it perfect for afternoon or evening visits. They offer a wide variety of delicious food and drinks, ensuring there's something for everyone. I honestly can't find a single fault with this cafe—it's simply the best in the area!

Tried the bubble tea from here and the churros bite. The bubble tea was good. Ordered the Lychee flavor bubble tea. Will try different items next time I go.
