Living back in Jersey, I’ll admit I get kind of tired of going to Italian restaurants because so many of them eventually all taste the same. Posillipo is different — it’s one of those places I’d recommend every time.

The staff is always so kind and attentive, and it really feels like they genuinely care about your experience. The steaks 10/10 I'm obsessed with their mushroom sauce! Love these guys & this place!

The interior looks nice but the food is actually trash what even is this filth they tried to call my medium rare filet mignon

Update: I have learned the steak was cooked then frozen and unfrozen to be recooked; this resulted in bacteria, additionally, the gray color came from frostbite… this is inhumane and also deplorable. I am now having a horrible allergic reaction that caused me to require prompt medical attention. They essentially poisoned me. Do NOT go here ever! I should sue for this… PS. my boyfriend also got food poisoning so it’s not just a fluke.

My wife and I have dined at Posillipo many times and every meal has been perfect. This place is truly a hidden gem. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is very friendly and at the right speed for a fine dining establishment. It has a cozy warm atmosphere and the prices are not too bad for all you get. Most meals come with soup or salad and a cheese bread that is delicious.

My sister and I had our second Christmas Eve dinner here last night and it was perfect as usual. The restaurant was full and the service was fantastic. The entrées arrived to the table timely and hot, unaffected by the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowd. Famlies with small children in the dining room added a special joyful noise. Our favorite- Oysters Rockefeller were on the menu and we enjoyed 2 orders. Thank you to Freddie and staff.

Wow this place is truly a hidden gem! Been to many Italian restaurants in the area and I cannot believe this place is so under the radar. It is genuinely an old school Italian in a very good way. Food was excellent with outstanding homemade desserts, impeccable service and atmosphere inviting, cozy with white table cloths and very clean. No pizza here.
