Was in town on vacation. Got a meatball sub. This place is amazing! A bakery with many food options. Middle of day decent crowd. Everyone was Greeted and being helped. The smell is to die for. Baked goods, sides, pizza, sandwiches. Real old school. Must stop to see for yourself! What are you waiting for? Put your phone down and go!!!
I was unpleasantly surprised by the pork roll, egg & cheese after seeing other positive reviews. It was very dry, and the egg was overcooked. The pork roll had a few grill marks on it but seemed otherwise uncooked. Thankfully, the pastries (particularly the apple turnover) were very good.
Bennie’s Bread was the perfect place to celebrate hitting my 500th review on Yelp, and it deserves just as much love here on Google. Every year we think about trying a different beach for the season, but Ocean City keeps winning us over, and Bennie’s is a big part of why.
