Excellent like every other year ♥
Hobby Horse Ice Cream Parlor & Cafe is a charming stop with a nostalgic atmosphere that fits Ocean City perfectly. The vintage interior gives it a classic ice cream parlor feel, making it a fun place to visit.
The ice cream was very good, with a nice selection of flavors to choose from. Prices were reasonable, the portions were satisfying, and the service was friendly and efficient.
Its location is another big plus, making it an easy stop while walking around town or after spending time at the beach.
Overall, it’s a great place for quality ice cream in a nostalgic setting. We’d definitely stop by again
Best ice cream in OCMD! 10yo approved!
Great ice cream. I ordered the cookies and cream and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered a double scoop! Big mistake, I should’ve ordered a single, lol
“Hobby Horse Ice Cream Parlor & Cafe is a must-visit in Ocean City! The classic ice cream parlor motif makes it such a fun, nostalgic spot — perfect for kids. Loved the blueberry ice cream — great flavor, creamy and fresh. Great flavor variety overall, friendly staff, and such a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for families visiting the area!”
I have been going to Hobby Horse for years. I recently went with my family on our yearly trip to OC. Unfortunately, they were out of many of the classic flavors and toppings that we specifically go to Hobby Horse for. Tess went above and beyond for our large party. Even in the midst of a busy night, she went the extra mile to suggest flavors she thought we would like. I am appreciative of employees like her, but the way this place has gone seems like a deeper ownership issue. I love this place, but I think something needs to change in terms of back of the house items. It has really gone downhill since 2004, which is when my family started going to the Jersey Shore every summer. I hope things change, as I truly value this small business.
This Icecream was absolutely delicious! We went there Friday night and it was a long line so we knew this was worth the wait! Death by chocolate flavor was so yummy! Will definitely go here again when in town.
Best ice cream I've found in this town (and way better than the places on the boardwalk). Got cookies and cream and tasted exactly how I always want it to taste.
This gem of a place is great, been going here for years. Unfortunately this year on multiple occasions they have run out of common ice creams and now tonight they ran out of batter for waffles. I get things happen but this has been going on for a few weeks now. Dont know whats going on but Im hoping they fix the inventory issue.
Pretty fun spot. Good ice cream had the peanut butter Oreo and monster cookie.

Their ice cream is really good and you can sit in.
Delicious ice cream and stays open late!
We love this little ice cream shop! The decor is adorable and the ice cream is delicious! My husband and I will definitely be back! π¦
Really good ice cream, large portions, seating available, bathrooms on site, off-street parking is free (but limited, of course). Not cheap, but what is? Workers are chill. A few blocks from the beach and boardwalkβno seagulls! The wait is worth it. Wish they opened a little earlier in the day, when itβs really hot. Also, a flavor board at the back of the line would be nice.
Ice cream was GOOD.
LOTS of flavors.
Open in off season
