Mike's Seafood of Ocean City

I’m not sure if this is owned by the same place is Sea Isle but if so… they are night & day. The one in Sea Isle is SO GOOD. We were so excited & were sadly super disappointed with this place. Got the islander fried combo - everything single thing was bland & flavorless. The scallops & flounder (overcooked), & the shrimp - tasteless. The crab cake had crab meat in it, you could visually see it, but the cake itself oddly didn’t have any flavor of crab.. it was just mush super bizarre. Also ordered the mussels - they were not cleaned properly/not debearded. The described “garlic butter white wine sauce” it came with - had zero taste of garlic or white wine in the sauce.. it was legitimately just melted butter.

Worth the drive from further north just to get from here. The crab balls are fantastic, but everything is great. Strongly recommend!

Terrible. I was excited to get my 14 year old seafood while at the beach. We ordered the tilapia and crab meat as well as the shrimp and scallops. First of all, it was $80 for two take out and fries, second, it was in a butter sauce that leaked all over my car and lastly the taste was bland. Only 6 shrimp in this huge container, we laughed, but really we were angry. I don't have money to waste on a place like this. I hope they see this and actually apologize or offer the correct amount of food you should get for the price we paid.

Normally we look forward to getting Mikes but we were very unhappy with our latest meal. We all got meals with the garlic butter sauce (scallops with linguini and steamed flounder platter). The sauce was thin and tasteless. Maybe they cut back on both key ingredients of butter and garlic. I’m sad to say we wouldn’t recommend Mikes without a caveat.

We had the lobster tonight and unfortunately, the tail was mushy and the claws weren't much better . Could it have been over cooked?

I ordered the flounder platter and it was hard as a rock.The fish on the inside was discolored.It wasn't white and flaky like flounder should be and the fries just tasted of oil and were soggy. My husband ordered the steamed shrimp and scallops, and was very underwhelmed with the quality of the scallops. He said that they tasted like rubberballs and it was very little food for the price. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but it doesn't make up for lack of a quality product.

I spent the day at the beach and it was beautiful. We decided to have dinner outside at Mike’s Seafood in Ocean City. I ordered the fried flounder platter with fries, a side of Cole slaw and a ginger ale. $35! I was taken aback at the price and questioned the cost with the very nice server. I asked how many pieces of fish I would receive and if it was fresh, as advertised on the menu. I was assured it was fresh, 2 pieces and I would not be disappointed. Guess what, I was very disappointed. Not fresh, no flavor and dry. Even the French fries were dry. How do you mess up French fries. To make it worse, the 2 packets of ketchup were watery and not good. The Cole slaw was good and the soda was cold. I managed to eat one piece of fish, a few fries and all the Cole slaw, the rest went in the trash. My friend had the lobster bisque and was equally unsatisfied. Mike’s seafood needs to up their game if they want to charge high prices for substandard food.
