Ice cream was okay. They do charge a $1 for sprinkles which is crazy, especially because it was like a teaspoon. The kid at the window had ear buds in the whole time and didn't seem to comprehend what was going on.

We got the southend combo with the fried fish, shrimp, scallops, and french fries. It was all incredible, the fried scallops were probably the best I’ve ever had. It was a 20 minute wait for them to drop the order but it was worth the wait for them to fry it on the spot. Plus the staff was super kind and we had some dessert before dinner with a mango gelati from Mike’s ice cream next door. Overall a great experience.

Hate to leave a bad review but I have to. Got 10 oysters from Mike’s to shuck at home. Out of 10, 3 were good to eat. The ones that were bad were dried up. 2 had pea crabs and one was already starting to open.

I expect to lose maybe one or two to being bad but not 7.. plus the ones we did eat were lacking flavor. Would not recommend getting oysters from Mike’s.

Some things are priced ridiculously high for takeout, but are about the same price as a dine-in restaurant. Save having to clean your rental and just eat here and use their space for a seafood boil or fish fry.

Food was well-seasoned and tasty, and everything came out in about 15 minutes.

Parking: About to spaces, and everyone else either walked over or blocked somewhere around the corner on the street.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid options, and there was frozen custard next door.

Well, we have been coming to oc nj for over 20 yrs and have only ever eaten seafood on the boardwalk. We decided to give Mikes a try since we are staying on this side of the island. Got fried gulf shrimp for 27$ . From now on I’ll ask (how many shrimp do you get?) because this was 9 shrimp, not even good or the size we expected with about a 1lb of fries. I will never go there again. Two thumbs down .
