We are FROM New England and this place is hands down my favorite seafood place! Love the setting (hand washing station right there in the room), love its location (close to everything), the seafood boils are done perfectly (and seafood can ALWAYS go wrong) and the staff are super nice (at least 3 different staff members come directly to the table and ask how we were doing!). The boys were blown away! Love this place!

This is a fun family friendly environment. They give you little cute buckets πŸͺ£ with your boil. The lobster roll is so yummy. I was there today with my boys the staff was super friendly and super super patient. There was a group of people 7 about give or take. They ordered 1 boil for one person. Then they were angry they had only utensils for one person. The staff took care of the issue. When the customers decided that 1 meal for 1 person should come with utensils for 7 and we're provided for them, they decided to put salt in the napkin holders not a sprinkle a full on pour. They had thrown there trash on the floor. And treated their squeaky Lil mousey server like she was terrible to them. My experience was quite amazing unfortunately the staff did not get the same experience I did. But it was refreshing to see such good service and the food was very good I loved the corn bread and may go back tomorrow for some more highly recommend this spot. Remember it's seafood so it cost a little but it's worth it. Ooooooooh and the crab cake so good

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The server attended to and served every other table around us while completely ignoring ours. We repeatedly asked for plates and forks, but they were never brought to us.

We waited for a long time and felt overlooked the entire visit. Poor customer service can ruin what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope management addresses these issues so future customers are treated better.

I took my family of five here. The food itself was good, but the portion sizes were very underwhelming. I paid 14.99 for the lobster mac and cheese and it was maybe four bites at most. I then ordered a lobster roll while my daughter got a boil. We all sat for about 30 minutes while she ate her boil because our meals were gone in about a minute. My lobster roll came with no sides and was just a single small roll.
For the price point, I was extremely disappointed with the value and overall experience. On top of that, the crab shells from the boils were being thrown into what looked like a dollar‑store mop bucket. I really think the owners could be more creative and intentional with the presentation. Restaurants are supposed to create an experience, and PJ Buckets is missing the mark in that area.

Food portions are very minimal for the price. Went with family and our food was cold. Place is not clean. Given a mop bucket for my seafood boil

We went to PJ Bucket during Labor Day weekend. They were super busy. The owner made his way to every table. He was a very sweet and personable older man. I had a lobster roll and side salad. Both were amazing. My husband got shrimp bisque and mac and cheese. Our girls got seafood boils. One of them got Louisiana and the other NJ. The sea food was fresh, cooked well and the sauces with the boil were amazing. They had so much food we had to help eat some of it. We will definitely be stopping in on our next visit to OC NJ.

Walked into this place to order New England clam chowder watch them as they put the cold clam chowder from a can into a plastic container and microwave the to the point where the lid melted into the soup.

If you want to eat plastic in your food from a microwave then this is your place but if you care about your well-being and you want a good place to eat without the chemicals of plastic in your food then stay away from this place.

When I showed this to the lady at the register she brushed it off telling me that I was being a little too assertive when I asked for my money back.
She was very rude and told me to step outside because she didn't want other customers to hear about what they do with their cooking techniques and my distaste for their microwave food preparation.

Seafood should not be served from a microwave.
Especially at a restaurant.
