Truly the best sandwiches on the island! Make sure you call early, as they so sell out fast!

Very middle of the road sandwiches. Every local
Place where I live is pretty much the same or better. The ordering system is a joke I called ahead for 1 sandwich told me the wait is one hour and a half upon getting there an hour early people who just walk up are told ten minutes. This might be the best of Ocean City sandwich wise but it’s middle of the road at best. Needs a better presence at counter for customers observed customers trying to be nice and make small talk and staff was too young to relate or engage

Great food and service! Lobster roll is on the the more expensive side but the quality is top notch- you won't be disappointed. Chicken Cutlet (sandwich & hoagie) are both some of the best you will find down the shore and excellent value.

Got the cutlet w/ long hots, broccoli rabe and prov… Seriously one of the best chicken cutlet sandwiches I’ve had. Super high quality, crunchy bun. Kinda confused why this place only has a 4.3

Left on hold for 30 minutes and eventually had to hang up and go elsewhere. Worst customer service I have ever seen Even though the sandwiches are good, the aggravation to get a sandwich isn’t worth going through

I’m pretty sure the food wasn’t as anticipated bc it’s the end of the season, so we’ll try again and go earlier. They were sold out of chicken cutlets (which is fine – they warned that will happen) so I got the Jersey Tomato salad and my husband got the chicken tacos. My salad needed more then just a few slivers of red onion and didn’t have the promised basil. My husband said the tacos were just “ok” and didn’t appreciate the lime wedge INSIDE the tacos. But the girls were very nice and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

It has been about 10 years since I was last here. Food is still exceptional! Cutlets are perfect and the lobster roll was incredible.

My wife discovered Sandwich Bar, but after two failed attempts to try this place, once we called and they were out of bread and chicken cutlets then they were closed. No biggie, we finally had our chance.
My wife ordered the lobster roll ~$25, and I ordered the Chicken Cutlet with Broccoli Rabe (~$20) plus fries and a sprite. All in it was $55.
The lobster roll was ok, kinda of lacking in the meat dept. Def NOT like the Maine Lobster Rolls we got in Old Orchard Beach 2 years ago.
The chicken cutlet sandwich was the most salty thing I've ever eaten. I regretfully ate half not wanting to waste it and still am craving sweets as it was so salty. My wife said it was in edible. It honestly tasted as salty as a mouthful of seawater. I'm not exaggerating, I Couldn't taste chicken or broccoli rabe. I even scraped any visible coarse salt that was sprinkled on top to no avail. The chicken cutlet looked like it would have been delicious. There was likely 4 ounces of chicken.
Personally, I liked the fries but they had some old bay on them which isn't my favorite. My wife hates old bay.
If I could do an AMEX call back I would. Too bad this is a cash only business.
Bottom line, we had high hopes for Sandwich Bar, but it was extremely disappointing. I advise you stay away! Drinking sea water is a cheaper way to increase your blood pressure.

Best lobster roll I ever had; perfect amount of butter and mayo- not overwhelming. Chicken cutlets are delicious!!! Fabulous spot and hidden gem.

Amazing shoreside place for a quick beach lunch. The bread was the most immaculate bread I’ve ever had in my life. The cutlets were amazingly seasoned. The Italian hoagie is the best ever had. Salad was good too. Service was in decent time, I recommend calling ahead. Cash only is annoying but we have to keep small businesses alive!

Have eaten here numerous times. Always excellent. Last night “ twice fried” fries were a soggy mess and my cheesesteak had very little steak. Cold on all counts. We called ahead and arrived before allotted time. Very disappointed. Prices raised and food not up to it.
