Ahgujjim is really good! The portion is good enough for 2-3 people.

SOMEWHAT DULL TASTE ALL FOOD. I've been wanting come try here for a long time. When I finally did, I noticed that the prices are quite high for a small restaurant who probably doesn't specialize on any particular dishes. Soonduboo stew was $19. Ahgoojim was $52. I didn't anything below $17. But the customers continued to come in one group at a time. So I was hopeful for their taste / dish. All the dishes needed a bit more flavor (ie: salt). All the dishes were missing that leading flavor. Honestly I was a little disappointed. The staffs were kind, courteous. A Clean place, cozy. But for the dishes were definitle not Bapdoduk food. The parkings available on the streets. No reservation; walk-in only.

The owner is very kind, and the side dishes and main dishes are tasty without being too salty. From pork cutlet to soft tofu stew, every dish brings back nostalgic memories. I highly recommend this place.

Bapdoduk is hands down the best Korean soul food spot in the Palisades Park area. No fancy interior, no artisanal plates or pretentious touches — just solid (actually, beyond solid) Korean food at approachable prices.
Their signature dish, the soy-marinated raw crab, is incredibly flavorful — I’m still salivating just thinking about it. I also had the grilled mackerel, cooked to absolute perfection, and the spicy fish roe stew (part of the “Papa’s Combo”). These three dishes complemented each other beautifully and easily fed two hungry adults. All of that for just $54 — an incredible value.
Service was equally impressive. The male server was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable, and the food came out surprisingly fast — definitely an A+ on that front.
Just be sure to avoid arriving between 3:30–4:30 PM, which is their break time.
This place has officially earned a once-a-month visit from me.

The food is good but the service is terrible.
The food is really good according to the name of the restaurant
My to go Korean food! Serve authentic Korean food !
the service is extremely rude. there was a piece of hair in a dish that we found as soon as it was set down. we took a scoop with the hair and showed it to them. they kept rejecting numerous times saying that they dont see a piece of hair, when it’s clearly in the photo, and we even zoomed into the photo. she claimed it was my hair when we saw the piece as soon as it was set down and went “so what do you want us to do about it.” they were very passive aggressive to us for the rest of our stay. we have been loyal customers, and we can confidently say we definitely wont be coming back 😊
I really like their marinated raw crab. It was one of the best I’ve tried in NY/NJ. The umami flavour is very strong and the crabs they use are very rich. I love their small side dishes as well.

I visited again, feeling nostalgic for the delicious food I had before, but it has changed. First of all, the food isn't fresh and it's too salty. I ate soy sauce crab sauce and now I have an upset stomach and have been having a lot of watery diarrhea for several days. This is my first time experiencing something like this and I am so angry. I will never go again.
