It's a cute date night spot and karaoke is fun. The floors are sometimes super sticky could be cleaner but it is great.

I had the pleasure of visiting with my friends tonight for my birthday party. Not only was the staff super friendly and extremely helpful, but my friends and I had a night to remember. The café was clean and the food looked and tasted amazing. As far as the karaoke room went, the space was clean and they had a HUGE selection of music (something I don't see enough reviews talking about because that was a HUGE reason my friends had a great time.) All of my friends and I all had no problem finding music we wanted to sing the staff made it so easy to understand how to setup. I am ABSOLUTELY coming back whenever I get the chance. The prices are fair, the food and drinks are fantastic and this staff is so helpful and friendly. Thank you again Cafe SSUM for a night to remember!

Walked in for some tteokbokki because we were both craving it and weren't disappointed. The rosé tteokbokki was very flavorful and yummy. Only thing we would say is that we would've liked thicker rice cakes (but that may just be a preference). The fish cakes were cooked and it was a nice sweet sauce and very mild for those who may be used to a spicier tteokbokki. We also had some tea afterwards that was quite yummy. Pretty spacious place with karaoke rooms, staff was kind and they offer lots of small bites and drinks. Would like to note that the tteokbokki was pretty small and felt it was a bit pricey compared to other places hence the lower rating but it was good

Karaoke rooms are nice and affordable, and include a nice selection of English, Chinese, Korean, and more. The employees were also incredibly kind!

If you like Korea, and if you like karaoke lounges, this is the best one in all of Palisades Park, and all the contenders are merely runners up competitors. The owner is probably one of the youngest 노래방 runners I’ve ever met; yet, he manages to keep this place running smoothly, which is quite impressive.Did I mention their food menu is just as delicious? A customer today who I became friends with offered me a mochi off the menu, and it was so pillowy and delicious!! I’m not even a Mochi person but homeboy said he would give it to me for free just so I can see how I was missing out. He wasn’t wrong at all!! He was Dominican and we agreed it tasted like that Colombian snack called “buñelo.” Folks, Ssum Cafe & NRB is truly a treat. Please check it out when you are ever in this former 당구장; I promise it’s worth it ♥️Also, Isaiah, I’ve been a regular here the last 4 months of my life during my time as a Palisades Park resident. I did not appreciate being accused of stealing a soda when the boss and I very much have mutual respect for each other as fellow entrepreneurs. But I can understand you misunderstanding, which is what I am hoping is the case. Happy holidays to everyone at the staff!! Still my favorite place in town to wind down and work away from home with the wifi. I will certainly miss it.

First time trying Tteokbokki, Spam Musubi, etc., so not sure how they are supposed to taste. Tteokbokki just seemed okay but liked the Spam Musubi and Cheese Corn Dog.

알바 사람들도 친절하고 서비스도 좋고 정말 느낌도 한국같습니다. 꼭 줄여보세요 Service is excellent and so are the employees. Free wifi too!! Please do check it out when you're in Palisades Park. Hours are from 12 PM to 2 AM which is great for anyone else who is a night owl

I come almost every day for some bubble tea. It’s so good even my friend say it must be made with love. The staff and the owners are super friendly and hardworking. They stay open late which is super convenient. The karaoke rooms are modern, clean and spacious. You can choose from any song through youtube on the tablets. The food here is also delicious. I have tried snacks ranging from the strawberry croffle to the rose tteokbokki and everything tastes amazing! Lastly, the atmosphere is very light and comforting, so you can always find someone studying or working at one of the cafe tables with a yummy snack at hand :)Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options for bubble tea.Parking: Some parking spots at the cafe, plenty of street parking paid until a certain time, then free.
