I recently visited Yangji, a fantastic lamb skewer restaurant. The skewers are perfectly seasoned and cooked, full of flavor every time. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying great food with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back highly recommend Yangji if you’re craving delicious lamb skewers!

Best cumin meat, lamb, chicken skewers in a 50 mile radius in Jersey! No competition! There's a few in jersey but this is simply my favorite by far, been coming here for years. They're great! Reservations are needed Friday and Saturday!

This is a place that reminded me of Moroccan barbecue , I recommend you make a reservation. We arrived 5 minutes earlier thinking we could just go but we had to wait till the exact booking time . I loved the cucumber salad , was refreshing with the meat , the fried rice was bland , which we liked , but if you want it as a main dish then probably won’t be satisfying but as a side dish it didn’t overpower the great meat flavors , I’d go back !

This is hands down the best charcoal-style Chinese BBQ skewer spot in the U.S.! We’ve been multiple times and it never disappoints. The meats are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the service is consistently excellent.
Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s a small inconvenience for such an amazing dining experience—it doesn’t affect my five-star rating at all. Truly a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.

Stopped by to see how good this place is compared to Xiao Chuan Dian few doors down, and the verdict is: MIXED
Atmosphere - It's a small place and it's not as nice as XCD, but you might have more luck finding seating. Stripped down with several tables - we were seated towards the back where it was near door to the kitchen where they were cutting stuff up, so I'd say not the nicest vibe
Food - I came to test one specifish dish, the Korean Cold Noodle (naengmyun), which they did have. Unfortunately it was not even half as good. Broth just wasn't as tasty and overall I was disappointed. When it came to their skewers, I liked their squid and lamb was decent, but again, could not compare to the other place.
Service - Service was good, perhaps better since it's such a small place. Lady checked on us and we did not have to wait too long for anything.
Overall, I think this place is a compelling option for good chinese skewers but just lower your expectations a bit, so give it a try (and you might disagree and love it!) As for me, I have to have the cold noodles and I'll be going to the other place.
