“I love this cozy spot in the main downtown of South Amboy. Their coffee and breakfast sandwiches are good, which is exactly what I needed. The Java Dave's special is my perfect order with pork roll (or bacon), egg and cheese with a hash brown. The girls working there are very sweet and attentive. Check it out if you're in the area.Parking: There's street parking, but you normally don't have to park far if you can parallel park.“

“Love this cute woman owned coffee shop in Englishtown! Tastes better than Starbucks with the added benefit of supporting a local shop.The Newport is my go to with oatmilk and sweet cold foam and they never miss. I’m a slow coffee drinker and my drink tastes good even after an hour with the regular ice cubes. It doesn’t taste watered down.I mostly do a mobile order as I leave my house and my coffee is always ready for me when I arrive. I love that I don’t have to wait especially when they get so busy.“

“Cute little neighborhood juice bar. Great juices, always fresh and staff are very friendly. We usually get the hulk (it's a green juice) and the turmeric ginger shots. You can always bring your glass bottles and get a 3 days' worth of juices at a time if you want to do a juice cleanse. Once you know what you like, you can always call ahead and just pick up.“

“We were staying nearby at the Heldrich Hotel and were looking for a place to have breakfast where there might be some gluten free options. SOL-KALANIT’S was the perfect solution. My wife had tacos (corn, not flour) both mornings we ate there and said they were the best tacos she had eaten since she moved back east from Arizona. I had an omelet both mornings and both were excellent. The dine-in area is small and it can get a bit noisy. But everyone who works there is warm, friendly, and lot’s of fun. The food is a mix of Mexican, Native American, and Mediterranean. If this place were closer to home, we would be regular customers. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.“

Family owned, and just very nice people.I was lucky enough to come when they weren't busy at 9pm, my brother told me they get packed during regular hours. Honestly, the sushi ala cart is where it's at, best scallop I've had and my second favorite. The Toro hand roll was my favorite/amazing, specialty rolls reasonably priced too. I enjoyed everything I ordered. All great fresh cuts of fish, the eel was cut thick and cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious! “WOW. Just ordered today after hearing reviews from friends and everything is delicious. We had the Philly cheesecake, raw pizza, BLT, lentil soup and chili. We all shared and tried a little of everything and everything was well seasoned delicious and trust me it didn't last! “I had some time to spare while waiting for my movies to start, so I decided to walk around the food court. A new spot caught my attention. I thought the prices were kind of high, but I was really curious, so I continued on ordering. The cashier was very nice to explain menu items to me. I went with the cheese empanada and a pernil empanada. I'm glad that their empanada are decently sized and that they load up their empanadas. Even the cheese ones had a lot of cheese (please see pic), and they aren't had just air pockets. I thought the pernil embalada was very flavorful. Overall I'm very happy with my orders and would like to try all the different menu items.“

“Got a combo shake and energy drink, plus protein donuts. I requested a chocolate strawberry with banana (chocolate covered strawberry banana shake?) - and got the large. Texture was great, and as for a protein shake it wasn’t too bad on taste. For the energy drink I got peach pomegranate shake- which did keep me energized throughout the day. I loved the taste, but I did happen to get some of the grainy, energy mix in the bottom. The donuts were spectacular- I couldn’t even tell they were protein.The owner was spectacular, even though I took a few minutes to decide what I wanted. She also asked about add-ins(chocolate chips in the donuts, chocolate sauce on top, whipped cream?) which I appreciated.Atmosphere was good- one of their menu TVs was glitching and not showing the full menu(I like to peruse), and the music was a wee loud for my taste but the location has ample seating and relaxing chairs.I’d love to see pictures showcasing some of the menu items & a slightly expanded menu. I heard there was coffee but I did not see any on the menu(again, screen was broken maybe it was on there?) Staff is always kind and if they are running behind will let you know about your order. They are helpful in describing items if you are unsure as well. I ordered the chocolate waffle and asked them to replace m&ms with mangoes. They did charge me extra for the mangoes though. Overall the waffle was freshly made and the ice-cream was good too!
