Visited today for 4th of July lunch buffet. The food was delicious with plenty of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Highly recommend this place.

I recently had dinner at Jashan by Dhaba, and overall it was a wonderful experience that beautifully combines great food with an elegant dining atmosphere.
The moment you walk in, the restaurant makes an impression. The interiors are tastefully designed with decorative ceilings, ambient lighting, and spacious seating that creates a warm yet upscale vibe. It’s an excellent place for family dinners, celebrations, or even a relaxed meal with friends. The tables were neatly set, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
We started with the Chilli Paneer, and it was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The paneer was soft, fresh, and perfectly coated in a flavorful Indo-Chinese sauce with just the right balance of sweetness and spice. It was garnished well and tasted as good as it looked.
Next came the Chole Bhature. The chole deserves special appreciation—rich, aromatic, perfectly spiced, and packed with authentic North Indian flavors. It had the depth and slow-cooked taste that you expect from a great Punjabi kitchen. However, the bhature were a bit disappointing. They were puffed nicely but noticeably oily, which made them feel heavier than they should have been. If the oil content could be reduced, this dish would be outstanding.
For the main course, we ordered a curry along with basmati rice, fresh rotis, and naan. Everything was well-prepared, served hot, and complemented each other nicely. The curry had balanced spices without being overwhelming, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant.
Service throughout the meal was courteous and attentive. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the food arrived at a comfortable pace.
What I loved:
* Beautiful and elegant ambiance.
* Excellent Chilli Paneer.
* Outstanding Chole with authentic flavors.
* Fresh breads and well-cooked main course.
* Friendly and attentive service.
* Comfortable seating, ideal for families and gatherings.
Room for improvement:
* The bhature were noticeably oily. Reducing the oil would make the Chole Bhature one of the best I’ve had.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant certainly lives up to its reputation for offering quality North Indian cuisine in a refined setting. Despite the minor issue with the bhature, the excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, and service make this a place I’d happily return to and recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian food in the area.

Good taste.
The food is in wide variety and quite delicious! There are plentiful vegetarian and meat/fish dishes.
The highlight is the management and staff. They were so kind and accommodating, offering recommendations and patiently allowing myself and my friend to stay and chat after our meal.
Never had the urge to give a rating right after leaving the restaurant right away. Owner charged my little kid for an adult meal
Food was mediocre. Tandoori paneer had lot of food coloring.
We used the restroom and there was no hand soap
Upon asking he empties the watery hand sanitizer but points me to the restroom asking me to go wash hands inside. 0 stars.
Never returning! Try chand palace or other restaurants in edison. We drove over 1.5 hour for this nonsense service. Dissatisfied !!
Ben first time the food was very good

They charge 15% gratuity even for 1 person. the don't show you the break out before you pay. They select that 15% and ask your credit card. Before you pay ask for a break out of charges they apply in your check.

I am not indian. The food makes me feel like Indian
Restaurantji Recommends
Most of the food items were good except for paneer akbari sizzler. It tasted pretty bland and for some reason they put cheddar cheese on it, which doesn’t go well with Indian flavors.

It's a sad day when an establishment insinuates a customer of lying!
Just came back from lunch - have always enjoyed the food at Jashn and the food today was delicious. My grandson, who's turning 5 tomorrow, did not have a meal, however when I went to pay the bill, they charged for a child's buffet for him and when questioned the young man who took my credit card had the audacity to say he doesn't know if the child really did not eat. I can, of course say otherwise and say how does he know if the child did eat! Such a poor way of treating repeat paying customers (there's something called honor). I will never eat here again and caution families with young children of eating at this place calling itself a restaurant!
We went for the weekday lunch buffet and the selection, freshness and the flavors were great! The price and staff were good! We are looking forward to coming back!
My husband took me out to this restaurant to dinner for my birthday. We were treated extremely well in this venue, our server, Mr. Arun, was very professional, attentive and dedicated to give us a wonderful experience, which we had!!!! Thank you Mr. Arun!! The place is clean and well organized. The food was heavenly! The staff is attentive and courteous. Our dedicated server, Mr. Arun was great and the professional type that we should see in a food establishment! Again, Thank you! We will recommend! And we will return!

One of the best restaurants in New Jersey! The food is absolutely delicious, and the quality is exceptional. Every dish was prepared perfectly, and even the dessert, especially the rabari, was fantastic. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant.
