We had an exceptional experience. This was our first time dining at Capital Grille, Whippany and it was perfect from start to finish. The food was perfectly cooked. We each got steak and it was cooked exactly as requested. The sides were delicious (creamed spinach & roasted mushrooms), the shrimp cocktail was one of the best I've had. The presentation was beautiful. We were never rushed, the pace of the dinner was relaxing and enjoyable. Our server, Luisa G. was wonderful! She was attentive without hovering, she had the perfect personality for her job, she was personable, friendly, professional and helpful. The interactions with other staff members were also very positive. We also enjoyed the quiet, sophisticated ambiance. If you're looking for a true steak house experience this is it.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday at Capital Grille. I had mentioned that when I booked our reservation thru OpenTable. After a drink at the bar, we were brought to our table and discovered it was sprinkled with tiny Happy Birthday confetti and a birthday card was there as well. That was a nice touch and the start of an enjoyable evening with my wife. Service from our waiter, Billy?, was top notch and the food was perfectly cooked and presented.

We had a large party of 16 people and had the best experience dining with them. The atmosphere was great as they placed us in a separate room where it was not so loud and we could easily communicate with each other. Also the servers (Anthony and Evan) were 5 stars and accommodated all special requests with ease. Most importantly, when it came to the checks, they had no problem accommodating multiple checks for our large party and all of the items were correct on each one. This was so helpful as it made the end of the dinner even more enjoyable (not to have to deal with the awkwadness of figuring out each person's check items) Highly recommend this place.

Came here late one night as we were returning from PA, only restaurant we could find open at that time, well we lucked out. I think our server was Tony, he was awesome!!! great recommendations! Food was excellent, not inexpensive but the quality warranted the prices. Every thing we had was super fresh and delicious. Tony was the nicest guy, always checking in to make sure we were happy. Will definitely come back
