The Authentic Chicharrón & Chorizo is a restaurant where the chicharrón is simply underrated, good and fresh, top notch 10/10, incredible, juicy, savory, meaty, and seasoned just right. The chorizos are the best ever. The spicy sauces are very good. The churrasco had good flavor, but the specialty is definitely the chicharrón. The arepas de choclo are delicious and very well made, reminding one of their grandmother’s arepas. The buñuelos are delicious. A guava pastry (roscón de guayaba) was a bit hard. The yuca frita is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. The half of the baked chicken is super juicy, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The fusion of Dominican and Colombian flavors is done with real care and soul. The service is excellent and exceptional. The owner will serve and give great customer service. The owner couple are warm and inviting. The punch card comes in handy. It is nostalgic and delicious, a little piece of home. Highly recommended.
