The beef Shawarma was simply exceptional. We also tried the chicken Shawarma, which was equally delicious. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant’s atmosphere. It was much nicer than we had anticipated. The service was incredibly quick, and we were fortunate enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant. We would definitely return to Shami Shawarma the next time we’re in Paterson.

I used to really enjoy the sandwiches at Al Shami Shawarma, but unfortunately the quality is not like before. The sandwiches tasted very greasy this time and didn’t feel fresh or balanced like they used to. Also, the waiting time was way too long even though it was not busy at all. I was expecting much better service and food quality based on my previous visits. Hopefully they improve because the place used to be one of my favorites.
