Based on recent reviews, Ladds Tavern offers a beautiful ambiance with absolutely beautiful valley views that are breathtaking and absolutely unparalleled. The staff is super friendly, polite, and very attentive. The cocktails are great, with the aperol spritz described as perfection and a generous pour. The food receives mixed feedback; while the steak&frites was juicy and flavorful, it came with gravy instead of chimichurri sauce. The crabcake was light and fresh, and the Chilean seabass was seared perfectly. However, some experiences note a major disconnect, with food arriving room temperature, lukewarm coffee, and mediocre dessert. The place is considered a hidden gem by some, but others find the food and service somewhat mediocre, with no manager present during issues. The long winding driveway up the mountain is impressive, making it a cool spot to impress out of town guests. Despite some inconsistencies, the views and cocktails alone warrant high praise, and many look forward to returning.
