“Pretty authetic mexican barbacoa from Capulhuac, mexico state. It gets pretty busy on weekends and they warn if kitchen is getting busy. Barbacoa is pretty good and I was happily surprised to find that sweet tamales are the state of Mexico style: "canarios", made of rice instead or corn with a pretty soft and fluffy texture.“

“A real gem. The food was delicious. Your served two different homemade salsas and homemade chips with a bean and cheese topping when you sit down. All the food was prepared fresh. Portions were large and nicely arranged. Highly recommend.“

“La Chinesca delivers on all fronts for me. A weathered, casual, cool esthetic works in every space, all the way through the menu. Our server, who introduced herself as Muffin, was a damned delight at every helpful interaction. The cocktails were interesting and delicious - very important to me when they stray from the classics. The food was an exciting blend of Chinese Mexican and American. I'd have eaten a lot more, but my girlfriend provided the restraint ai lacked by suggesting we visit again and soon.“

“There were nine of us who dined there last night and we 100% agreed that the reviews are spot on. I got the Mexican Style grilled shrimp tacos and they absolutely slapped. We got the Latinas Bites for our app and finished off the night with the Dolce Quesadilla and Xangos for dessert, which were both uniquely and indulgently sweet. During dessert, I had pointed out that you'll know how good the food is because nobody's talking and everybody's eating. The first bite was as savory and delicious as the last and you must be prepared to bring food home. If you're familiar with the 7 Elements of Taste, this is definitely the place for you. I'll easily give Latinas a 9/10 and I will definitely be back, since there's so many more things I want to try.

“Authentic Mexican cafe with lots of typical American breakfast and brunch options. I got the chilaquiles with red sauce which comes with beans eggs and choice of meat if you want. Super flavorful sauce cooked up on the stovetop and presented simply and beautifully. Horchata was sweet and refreshing to go along with breakfast. The staff was super friendly, the food was great, and the drinks were great!

I do wish the tables were a bit bigger (but we were greedy and got a lot of food lol) Also, we opted to sit inside where it was initially cooler, but they opened the windows so it got a little warm after a while. None of that was enough to negatively impact my experience, but just something to note.

I don’t live near here so probably won’t be back any time soon, but i do recommend it overall and whenever i am In the area, I’ll keep it in mind!“

“@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! “A modest outside conceals a bright and inviting interior. The service is excellent and very friendly. The cook even came out go ask how were.

The food is amazing, even the complimentary homemade chips!! The Horchata was delicious also! The decor is nice and bright and the music was good too.

I am Latin American and therefore I know Mexican food well and in general I feel that Mexican food in the US tastes bad.
This one tasted like authentic Mexican. The red sauce was special.
We ordered a “corn dip” appetizer and it was extraordinary.
Additionally, the cheese flautas were good and what we expected from the dish.
Another honorable mention would go to the tacos al pastor which were really good.
More than one expects in a Mexican restaurant in the USA, no Texmex... thank God.“

“Came for brunch. The space itself is cool: you take an elevator to the 11th floor and you're transported to a rooftop restaurant. The roof is retractable so could be a nice option when warmer (it was closed when we went).

We got all the salsas (free chip refills!) which came with a surprising amount of options, so that was nice. The barbacoa tacos were fine, nothing special but standard (the tortilla tore a little easier than I would have expected so a bit hard to eat). The chorizo rojo hash was delicious. A solid amount of chorizo with a delightful sauce. The menu didn't have a ton of things outside of barbacoa tacos that I was interested in so I was surprised to have enjoyed this as much as we did.

The drinks were fine-standard margarita with a tajin rim. The service was a bit slow. We were one of two tables and it took a strange amount of time to get napkin refills, water, and the check.“

“We just had dinner at El Nopalito last night and it was great! The food was delicious, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is so cozy and pretty inside. We got in right before it got very busy, but even with the rush, our food came out quickly and was very good. Highly recommend!“

Bar was very very busy, Friday night. As such, we had to wait a while for service. But the bartenders were friendly and accommodating.
