We have been going to Gus's since about 1980 for Texas Weiners. We then lived around the corner, but tonight drove 30 miles for them. So focused have we been that it wasn't until we checked the web to see if they were still there that we discovered how vast their menu is.We enjoyed the Crab and Shrimp Bisque, a bit spicy and not the best we've had but very good. The breaded mushrooms are up to standard. As to the weiners, I've never had the like elsewhere, and they were worth the trip--although next time I might explore more of the menu.

I got the baked ziti I was skeptical at first, but it does taste pretty good. It came hot with breadsticks and a salad. The breadsticks were not really flavored. They were supposed to be garlic, but they weren't the best but the baked ziti was really good. It was nice and hot. I had a really good cheese pull we had it delivered but it did come pretty fast and that was for four people

Still in town visiting (day 6) and have not yet had a slice of pizza, with only a few choice places to go to I chose Gus's. This is still the only place that hasn't strayed from their roots. The others have gotten so big they forgot what a pizza joint is suppose to be. I ordered (2) slices and a drink, square slices. Not sure how to describe it but perhaps a cross between NY and Detroit, it's what you find in this region. This was done perfect with great crust mainly because it's re-heated to give it a crisp bite. Again, this something you don't find anywhere else, I would not recommend it to a pizza snob you have to be open minded and able to except all pizza. This is my go to pizza joint when in town. If traveling on RT49 in P'ville, give it a try. Peace.

Great place, great foodDont like that they started charging a extra charge for using your bank or credit card. I usually dont carry cash so its not too much extra.

Great food! I’m removing one star for inaccurate pricing on the website (one price is advertised but another is charged) and removing another star for the credit card processing fee (which is just another business expense and in my opinion should be worked in the menu price like everything else).
