If you're looking for authentic, incredible tacos right in the neighborhood, this place is the real deal. Being just two blocks away makes it entirely too easy to drop by, but convenience aside, it legitimately serves the closest thing to real NYC-style tacos you will find anywhere nearby.
They recently expanded their menu, and the new volcan tacos with carne asada are an absolute must-try—perfectly crispy tortillas loaded with flavorful, charred beef. On top of that, their salsa bar is elite: incredible flavor, great heat, and you can grab as much as you need. To top it off, their orange lemonade is hands-down the best drink on the menu, and the prices can't be beat for this quality.

“The food is amazing. I normally order for a business meeting or myself at times, and it is really good. The quality of the food is great, and there's a lot of food, which is a plus. We love it. I can not rate on the atmosphere or in-person service because we have not been in person, but overall, this is a 5-star experience for our business.“

“Stopped here for a quick lunch and am so glad I did. I got a pork taco as well as a flank steak taco and both were delicious. The tortillas are homemade, meat was freshly cooked, sauces flavorful and they did not skimp on the filling. 10/10 - will absolutely be back!“

“The name changed over the years, from Tijuana Tacos to Jalapeno Grill to Kings Tacos. But quality remains same.They serve authentic Mexican food. Price is reasonable and portions are large. The atmosphere is good. But it's not crowded like earlier days.“

“I came in after work around 630. Order some Asada tacos. They were phenomenal.
But I had an interest in dessert. Tres Leches specifically. I asked about them and were told they were in the fridge but they weren't. They actually had no desserts at all.
That was a bummer. Other than that, the person serving at the register was pleasant and the place was clean, quiet and smelled like food and a good time!
Definitely going back there!“

“We randomly stopped at the New Castle Farmers Market on a drive elsewhere and randomly happened upon Los Jarritos and thought it was some of the best authentic Mexican we’ve had on the east coast (don’t you love it when that happens?).
We split a burrito with pork and green sauce and a chicken tamal. The burrito was better than the tamal but we still thoroughly enjoyed both.
The pork in the burrito was exceptional - and the red and green hot sauces were an ideal complement.
Chips and salsa were also delicious - can’t tell if they were included or not but our total bill including a Mexican coke was less than $16.
Stopping at this flea market felt like a portal to another world for us out-of-towners, but we enjoyed the experience and would happily go back to Los Jarritos.“

The workers are very friendly and service was great. HIGHLY recommend the oxtail stew, the meat is super soft and juicy and just packed with flavor.“

“Very decent food, pricing, and atmosphere, without any extras it's only $28 for two bowls, not bad and you get a nice size amount too. You could eat inside or upstairs, maybe right outside and even take it on the riverfront walk... Just of course be neighborly and discard of all trash.“

“Looks like they are under new management and are now called Aurora's as of July 2025. Haven't tried the food yet but I came inside to say hello to the new owners and they were super nice. Bought a Jarritos and a La Guerrense ice cream bar. 10/10 siempre. Looking forward to many more great conversations and great meals!“

“A very fun spot! I haven't tried the food yet (other than chips and salsa) because I just go for the dancing they host each month. Very fun! The music is loud and the floor is a little sticky, but you'll be sure to have a great time anyway!“
