“Can I please give it 6 stars? I recently went there with a group of five family members while visiting New Jersey and we had a truly extraordinary night! As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“My daughter chose this place for a special dinner on our weekend down the shore. It was great! The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone from the owner to the busboy was so sweet, fun, and helpful. We shared an assortment of starters- Thai chili shrimp, crab cake, Brussels sprouts, pistachio ricotta with crostini- and would order everything again. Our server, Brianne, was wonderful. Thank you for a perfect evening!“

“It was my first time there, and the lady who identified herself as the owner (Kelly) was very pleasant and helpful. She took her time explaining the drinks and their ingredients to me. I left there with 3 orders??‍♀️. The drinks were so good. Directions from Google were confusing. If you know the area, Highland Bubble Tea is on the opposite end of the bridge where Jersey Boys Pizza is located.
It can be tricky if you don't know the area. It's almost across from the new Performing Arts Center in Avenel! So, if you're looking at the PAC from Avenel St., in Avenel, Highland Bubble Tea is on your left side, across the street b4 going down the bridge. Lots of drinks and tasty snacks to enjoy. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the parking and the difficulty in finding it. Enjoy!!!“

“First time at Frappe Joe and it was soooo good the coffee was amazing. I got a turkey bacon egg and cheese bagel and omg just so good!! And their Raspberry Crumbcake. “Kid-friendliness: The glass display cases are at the perfect height for a child to admire and easily choose from. I love that you see them acually re-stocking an supplying the display cases so they are always full and ready to be ordered from. Another really nice detail I noticed was the amount of variety offered; there is a whole jelly colletion, nuts collection, chocolate collection. There are plenty of cupcakes and drink uptions as well. This visit, I saw they had a drink of the month, The Cosmic Brownie and it had a try of a matching cookie to pair with.

My absolute favorite hot beverage is going to have to be the Hot Chocolate with the melted down chocolate chips. This is a rich drink, with premium chocolate in every sip. If you love coffee and red velvet. I have to recommend you order the Red Velvet Coffee - it tasted spot on to their cupcake.

Next, lets get into the dine in option. So there are small tables, situated along the wall featuring their impressive cookie jar collection. Parking is on the street.“

The service was second to none, I got my food quickly and it was great. However, the staff made a slight mistake and used the wrong sauce to coat my chicken. I asked for just the sauce, so I could coat the chicken myself, but instead they gave me a brand new order on the house as an apology. “I used to order Pho from here all of the time and now it is different. I came on google to see if there was a change and saw the comment below that it’s new owners so it makes sense. I noticed a difference in the quantity of noodles and lack of chop sticks with my order and that’s what made me check on google.
It’s about $5 more per Pho. They do give a large portion of meat which is nice.

I do wish this business well, the pho is still good, but the ordering system is a little different too for building your pho as well.“

The rice is very different from other Chinese restaurants, and is probably the one thing I would change. The rice was good but had better fried rice at other locations; the pork, carrot and pea pieces were very fresh in the rice.The food was very tasty, however, if I may recommend something to the restaurant, please use less sodium. Although the food was very tasty, I think using less salt would have made it taste even better. ?I would HIGHLY recommend the fried chicken wings. They kept their crunchy texture after sitting for 15-20 minutes in the bag. They were so crunchy and the wings were pretty well sized unlike other Chinese restaurants. Other restaurants give you very small wings with barely any meat or taste soggy.Get the chicken wings! ?“

I know sometimes it's hit or miss when you go out to eat on a holiday! Not the case at the Marina Cafe! And of course, the view can't be beat! ? — at Marina Cafe.“
