“We got 2 Prime Brisket Sandwiches sooo good nice Smokey taste to it and loved the pickles and coleslaw on it. Brisket was cooked perfectly. Ordered side of Mac and cheese not a fan was bland. Side of corn bread which was good. Will go back again!“

“Great place to grab some delicious cocktails for a reasonable price. Went with my partner for pre-dinner drinks on a Wednesday evening, and our bartender, Milton made the whole night for us. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and let us sample a few things. We even bought a bottle of vodka he recommended before we left for dinner. HIGHLY recommend!“

Owners, Dan and Ian, have taken this dated property and transformed it into my absolute go-to for events, especially weddings. The grounds are lovely with ponds, swaying grasses and rolling hills. I absolutely love the flexibility of the ballroom. Beautiful views, flexible lighting, high ceilings, tons of natural light, neutral floors, walls and chairs make decor a joy. You can create any vibe you want in this space with ease. Dan was lovely to work with and exceedingly patient in providing many changes in floorpan due to the never ending Covid issues. He was also genuinely excited for my bride and groom and took joy in seeing their vision come to light. Many other venues are quick to tell you all the things you cannot do. Dan made sure that our requests came to life, and then some! His creativity was much appreciated. The food was delicious and served in a lovely, imaginative manner. William, staff captain, kept the wait staff running efficiently throughout the evening and Melissa, Durham's on-site event coordinator was responsive throughout, taking special care of several specific needs that we had for the day. The pizza is fabulous…thin crust (but not too thin) and the meatballs were outstanding!I grew up in the immediate vicinity and never ate here until now. “We dined at Oak last night for our anniversary. Not our first time by far, but this was where I wanted to return. As always, the food and service were excellent! We both had the grilled octopus to start and it was divine. Executed perfectly, not overcooked, and the sriracha sauce is just *chef’s kiss*. My entree was the pork chop and there are no words. A+, including the sides. My husband had the 10 oz. filet mignon Oscar style and whipped potatoes. He was very happy & very full (as was I!) Hailey was our main server along with a gentleman whose name escapes me. Both were extremely attentive and nice throughout. Another wonderful experience and will certainly not be our last.
