Went here to have a couple of beers and see Deal play some dead tunes last Tuesday.Good beer, a few local choices from Weyerbacher on tap.Taco Tuesday, 2 for 5.Very nice, old downtown place, with stunning architectural elements, great design, dim lighting, and hand-carved wooden furniture. This type of place is the reason I live around here. True staples of the community, and so happy to support.
To be honest, the bartender Kevin is who really made the experience for us. He was everything you want and nothing you don't want in a good bartender! Mainly went for the vegan options as there were PLENTY to choose from. The asparagus fries are delicious, you just have to add your own salt. The Pallea that comes with shrimp, chicken, steak and chorizo was a great portion, well seasoned rice and the meat was not overcooked at all. This is a cool little atmospheric spot with pretty good food. They have an old out of tune piano and they let my prodigy grandson play a bit. A neat place to cozy up to the bar. No free soda refills and pricy desserts.
