“After 32 years out of NJ pizza has been disappointing. So now that I am in NJ for work until July, my quest is to eat 2 slices of cheese pizza at every place the locals recommend. Today, it's Joe's, and they did not disappoint!!! Highly recommend to any visitor and other locals. The test of good pizza is the point folds off the plate and it leaves a nice red oily stain on the paper plate...both were spot perfect...the crust was perfect, the cheese was gooey and flavor top notch. if I work in the area tomorrow, it's calzone or stromboli!!“

“Its Sals Pizza, the best pizza in south jersey. Id argue the best pizza in the tri-state area. But thats for a specific pizza, the comfort pizza. That old school floppy, glorious cheese pull, thin crust goodness. They've been belting out since I was a kid. High quality ingredients produces high quality results. Pricing is a couple bucks more than the half dozen competitors in the area and they dont deliver. But just makes them the perfect comfort food pizza. By the time you've had 2 or 3 other places pizzas, you remember why Sals is your go to for that slice of happiness. Incidentally they have my 2nd favorite cheese fry. So odd that theyre one of the only places to use shoe string, slighly under cooked, for those amazing floppy fries me and mine love so much! Apparently im really into floppy foods im just realizing.“

“We’ve been going to this pizza shop for years, even before Alex took over. Alex has always been the friendly face that greets you when you walked in the door. He always says hello and asks how you are doing. On many occasions he will even tell you to grab yourself a 2 liter on your way out the door. No charge. Just an overall friendly guy and the pizza is delicious. Honestly, you will enjoy anything they make for you, and now if you have a taste for pizza and your hubby wants tacos, there’s no need to go anywhere else, he does it all. The girls he has working behind the counter and the other cooks are always lovely as well. A real neighborhood pizza joint.“

I received a menu with prices in the mail today offering delivery....I went on line to order and was taken to door dash which adds about $3.00 per item vs the menu I received plus charge a delivery fee. I then tried just going on Mannino's website which is powered by Slice and they also add an average of $2.50 per item vs the menu (I didn't get far enough into order to see if there is a delivery fee). Confused I called Mannino's and what a treat that was, I asked if they offered delivery from the store, well no one is here so use the on line ordering, I mentioned about being taken to Door Dash and Slice along with the price increases and delivery fees with a response of NOT their problem. I was also told to pick up my own food or don't order from them and was hung up on. This coming from the business that had a menu placed in my mailbox to solicitate more business. I can't testify to the quality of their food but can tell you they definitely lack in customer service and phone manners. Needless to say this is one local business I won't be patronizing.“

“Different Cheesesteak #1266. 2 dogs, beer, and cheesesteaks continue! I went to Ray’s and got a cheesesteak with fried onions. I took my cheesesteak and 2 grand dogs next door to Swedesboro Brewing Company. Swedesboro Brewing is kid and dog-friendly until 7 pm. Outside food is always welcome—more on them in a different post. The cheesesteak was a standard-ish pizza shop cheesesteak. The roll wasn’t going to hurt you. It had a decent amount of chopped meat. The onion pieces were big and raw-ish. They added a decent amount of flavor. I would have liked a slice or two more of cheese. Good stop, two nice little places.“

“I want to start with the fact that we placed an order for delivery it arrived fast and hot, except it had been tipped and the toppings slid to one side. So why 5 stars, well I called and they immediately offered resolution, they remade it and got the replacement to us quick. The pizza was amazing, the topping balance was perfect, the sauce was flavorful, the crust was a little chewy but fantastic. I would definitely order from here again.“

“Horrible. Delivered our pizza to the wrong house and tried to then give it to us. By this point, the pizza was 2 hours old. They then claimed they remade the order. We went to pick it up to find 2 hour old pizza. It was cold, cheese hardened and the taco shells on the Taco pizza soggy from sitting. Never again! Ill sooner eat the shingles from my roof!“

“We have been driving to Cape May from Quakertown for decades, 20+ years ago and about halfway was Vesuvio Ristorante, so we stopped in to grab a bite. I was greeted by Robert the owner. The guy truly appreciates your business and understands you have choices! Robert knew we were either opening or closing our summer home and he was always easy to have a conversation with. They are the definition of a hard-working American family and business owners.“

“Thank goodness we finally have pizza delivery in our area. Good pie, nice sauce, doughy crust. Try the chicken parm pie with their full leaves of fresh basil on top. (Our favorite item on the menu) Their wings are good - albeit hit or miss. Sometimes, they're fried until the meat is crispy and tough, which is unfortunate. Try the hot and honey sauce, trust me. The garlic knots are always delicious. Their cheesteaks are comparable to most pizza joint's, they do chop them pretty finely, so beware if you don't enjoy chopped steak. The homemade soups are delicious. We love having the option to save coupons for a free pie, that's so generous.“
