Lotus Garden Reviews
I love the taste of their Mapa Tofu, but recently I started wearing a CGM and I realized it gives me a big insulin spike. Still love the taste but will eat it less often.
We went to Lotus Garden a month ago and went again tonight, and it was just as perfect the second visit. We ordered the pan fried meat dumplings and the rice cakes Shanghai style. The dumplings were the best I have ever had. The wrapper was home made and deliciously chewy, the meat was juicy and flavorful, and the sauce that came with it was incredible. Lotus Garden is a reliable spot for decent Chinese food at an affordable price. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including Taiwanese pork ribs, stir-fried green beans, Thai steamed fish, pan belly tofu Clay pot, and ants on the tree. Despite some inconsistencies in service and an outdated dining area, the restaurant consistently delivers great-tasting food, even accommodating special requests. The ambiance has a homey feel, with lots of windows toward the front, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The dishes are generally flavorful, with standout items like cumin lamb chops, black pepper filet mignon, and Peking duck, which are highly recommended. The noodles are a good choice, and portions are solid with good prices. Takeout is also an option for those seeking comfort Chinese food. While service is timely, wait staff could be a bit more pleasant. Overall, Lotus Garden remains a go-to place for comfort food and nostalgia, proving to be one of the most authentic Chinese spots in the area.
