“Food was very good, as was the service! Appetizers and sushi came out fairly fast and our waitress was very kind and helpful with menu options. We came here during the off season so it was not very busy, but we would definitely come back during peak!

My boyfriend and I we the only ones there for a 7pm seating (Tuesday after Thanksgiving) so we got a complete one-on-one meal with chef Carmen and head chef Sean. It was so interesting learning about where each fish came from, each piece's preparation, and so much more! “Osaka is a classic! I recommend really any of the hand rolls, but my favorites are the spider roll, sweet potato roll, any of the vegetarian rolls, the eel roll is good too! The edamame is a must on the side, and their lo mein + fried rice is really good too. I have only gotten take-out but have always been really satisfied with the freshness + flavor + everything I have eaten here!“

“My husband and I LOVE River Rock's outdoor dining. We enjoy seeing the boats coming and going while we eat. The Manasquan River is a beautiful sight. Any food items that we have ordered are delicious. Lauren Guenther is one of our favorite servers. She's a sweetheart. She's very friendly, personable, and very focused on what she's doing. We know Lauren from when she served at Carrabba's. She was very special to us back then as she is now. Being local residents, we visit River Rock frequently during the summer and we will ALWAYS request either Lauren or Kelsey Conover because we simply adore them both. River Rock is our outdoor Happy Place during the summer. 💗💗“

“Hibachi is a dining experience unto itself and Sumo is a very good hibachi place. The staff was attentive and seated us right away. They took our sake (it’s BYOB) and decanted it into a nice serving piece. It was a Monday and a slow night. Our chef was terrific, lots of fun and a great cook. We had the filet and lobster and he cooked everything perfectly to order. Both were tender and delicious. Prices are fair given the quality.“
