The Shrimp Box & Outside The Box Patio Bar

Well established shore restaurant haven't been here in a while. Don't know why but it was better than I remember. We will be sure to return and not wait.

Another wonderful meal at the Shrimp Box, service was excellent and the restaurant looks so clean. Great job decorating! One of our favorite places to eat!

Seafood,lobster, shrimp, scallops and flounder were excellent. Never disappoints. Plus the sunset menu is great.

Always have good seafood. Sunset dinners are vary reasonable and a good value. Staff is always great.

Was there with family to celebrate a birthday on Saturday 3/29. Was seated in the back next to a party of 20 also celebrating a birthday. Group was so loud and obnoxious all the tables around them couldn’t even enjoy their meals. Management should have been well aware of it as you could easily hear the commotion on the opposite site of the restaurant.

We enjoyed our lunch...cups of soup were great! Both New England Clam Chowder and Manhattan Chowder were just delicious! My husband and I shared the Crab Cake sandwich without the bread, fries & slaw. These dishes made for the perfect lunch!
Linda was our server and hit it out of the park taking care of us!

We had a particularly gorgeous October afternoon lunch at the Shrimp Box. Everything was on point- the location, vibe, service and FOOD! Our waitress Tina was absolutely lovely and attentive. We got the calamari, oysters, soft shell crab and coconut shrimp and everything was fantastic. Honestly, it was a great lunch!

We came here to prove to my husband that this place isn't worth the long wait times or battle for parking. Its average at best.

Let me start by clarifying our server was lovely. She was prompt and attentive. The seating is great since virtually every seat offers a water view. The food on the other hand is bland and underwhelming.

The calamari doesn't need pretzel coating - keep it simple. At the very least, if you must be creative, offer an original version of the dish. The soup was delicious once you added salt and pepper - otherwise, you can probably grab a bowl for half the price from the hot section at shoprite and flavor to taste. Lastly the fettuccine with scallops - high expectations and fell short. Olive garden has a better fettuccine which says a lot- again, lacked taste, seasoning and was overly doused in olive oil.

Was the meal terrible? No. Was it worth a revisit? Absolutely not. I'd recommend another establishment in the surrounding area unless you're just there to enjoy the views.

We're living in Toms River for 6 years now, and have tried just about every restaurant in a large area. We remembered my wife's parents used to go to the Shrimp Box, and now we know why...consistently delicious food, great bartenders, and you're sitting right on the inlet with fishing boats. We will happily make the drive there. Try the "Hot Honey Paloma Martini", the best!

This place is synonymous with Point Pleasant Beach, as I've been eating here since I was a kid with Parents. Fresh, delicious food, great casual atmosphere the place seemed packed but we waited about 10 minutes after being told 20. My 7 year old grandson was with us and shrimp is his favorite and even he loved the place and can't wait to come back. The most difficult thing about it is what to choose off the menu because everything looked so good.

We came into town for a funeral and we stayed at Csa del Mar(terrific place to stay) and we got in late and were looking for a place to eat, Outside the Box was walking distance from the motel, we sat outside and it was li ely! The food was great the salmon salad, delicious! The wait staff terrific! Highly recommend a visit.
