The Shrimp Box & Outside The Box Patio Bar

The Shrimp Box used to be a favorite restaurant to visit. We were there recently and I had a horrible experience. I ordered a prime filet mignon just grilled with no oil or butter, cooked medium. When it was served it was so dripping in oil that the oil was pooling on the plate. I mentioned that to the waitress but she seemed reluctant to send it back so I said just give me another plate and some napkins so I could wipe the oil off. She came back with an appetizer size plate. So I wiped a lot of the oil off but when I cut into the steak it was raw. So I sent it back. Once it came back I cut into it again and it was still raw. At this point my husband was almost done with his meal and I told the waitress I no longer wanted the steak. The waitress was wonderful but the entire dinner experience was horrible. She asked if she could get me something else but the meal was over so i said no. The manager came over and said he would comp my meal. How generous since it was literally inedible. When we got the check they were still charging us for my husband’s meal. I thought that was wrong so I confronted the manager once again telling him the entire meal was a disaster and I felt he should’ve comped the entire thing. His response was that my husband ate his meal. I was quite angry but paid the bill, gave the waitress a nice tip and left. Not very good customer service. If you are going to sell a prime steak learn to cook it properly and use a meat thermometer or don’t put it on your menu. Learn to treat the customers right. The meal was a very unpleasant experience and I will think twice about returning.

I ordered the corn encrusted cod with sweet potatoe fries and slaw. Absolutely awful. Fish dry and tasteless. The sweet potato fries were cold. We had brought friends who had never been there before. Won't be back

Love the Sunset Menu. We've been here before and always a great meal with a view and wonderful service. Everything was delicious and well prepared.

We were a group of 8 and everyone had a great meal!! Our server Bill was fantastic We will definitely go back again!

My cousin and I had the BEST lobster tail dinner…. I think I’ve ever had. The lobster tails were absolutely delicious. And our server was amazing. I believe her name was Kaitlyn.

We come to the shrimp box 1-2 times a summer and we truly look forward to it. The food is always consistently delicious and the fish is fresh and prepared in a variety of ways. For the last few years they have made beautiful renovations so the space always looks clean & modern.

Good choice if dining with children. We had two (ages 5 and 3) - table was ready on time, service was good and accommodating. Food was excellent, with many options. Would definitely recommend!

Our server, Olivia was beyond superb. She took care of 6 of us in a smiling mannerism, completing anything that was asked for.

Host was arrogant and unhelpful. Ignored Open Table reservation. Waitress was wonderful, but food was severely delayed. Multiple apologies from waitress. Typical summer joint abusing locals and visitors. If you cannot get a reservation at Reds keep walking.

My reservation was for outside but we were placed inside. Our server was kind and attentive The stuffed shrimp was good and the steamed clams were really great !

For starters the Italian bread was fresh and delicious! Next the green salad which came with all of the meals was excellent! We especially loved the lemon vinaigrette dressing. For an entree I ordered the Branzino with chick peas and quinoa which was amazing! Tiramisu, rice pudding & carrot cake were truly scrumptious! Angelina was an adorable professional waitress who gave us excellent service. Can't wait to go back!
