One of our favorite sushi spots in NJ!! They use environmentally sustainable packaging and almost always give us something “on the house” usually either some crab Rangoon, or a few extra pieces of different kinds of sushi to try. They recently took their sweet and sour chicken off the menu which was a bummer since it was sooo good and crispy, but it got my picky eater to branch out and try sushi and he ended up loving it! Hands down the most bang for your buck sushi spot in the area. I would order takeout from here every night if I could! Can’t rave about Epoch enough!

I went to eat at this restaurant and everything was salty, the rice was hard and raw, the salmon smelled really bad, the tuna was a strange color, the avocados were blackened, and I ordered a roll with mango, and the mango was tasteless, flavorless and hard... I recommend not going to this place, very bad experience, I am a culinary chef and what a great disappointment this place is...

I came to the restaurant in the hope of getting a plate of sashimi. However, the menu did not have it available except for a small couple of pieces portion or a la carte. So I had a sushi roll version made up for me with cucumber. Because it's not a traditional Japanese sushi sashimi place with many fresh fish options, I only had the basic fish options like tuna, salmon and yellowtail. In terms of freshness, it was good. I'm sure the regular sushi rolls are fine but I didn't try any since my heart was set on sashimi. They tried the best they could to accommodate me.
