Pizzas were burned, dry and didn't have a lot of sauce on them.. pizzas and calzones were ok at best...delivery was 2 hours late.

I have been coming here for years as well as my family; That being said, today I was extremely disappointed with the rude tone and attitude that was presented to both me and my partner. I ASKED if I would be able to order a pie with half and half of different toppings before even paying. The younger blonde lady at the cashier was lovely and agreed. The MUCH OLDER looking blonde woman already had such an attitude stating my order was “complicated” (which I’m sure wasn’t) and proceeded to take my money and continue to make us feel like what we had ordered was such an inconvenience. The older Italian Man who works in the kitchen huffed and puffed and began mumbling under his breath speaking in Italian (clearly talking about us). If our order was too much then maybe you should have said something from the start that you couldn’t do it, instead of taking our money and continuing to complain about it. I left feeling very uncomfortable from how nasty their behavior in this was. What was most disheartening is how nice they treated every other customer that walked in but we didn’t even get a simple “hey, how are you”. They clearly cater to a very specific audience and my Wife and I (same sex, interracial couple) get treated differently. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! They can keep that nasty attitude.

Website says over thirty specialty pies. I didn't count but there was definitely one heck of a selection to choose from. I stayed pretty basic with a penne and cheese slice and it was very good indeed. Look forward to my next visit where I'll venture out of my comfort zone and try one of the unique style slices they have..

Tried a plain slice one day and it was pretty good so I went back last night and gave it a shot with 2 pies, half and half. They were outstanding. The group of us couldn’t stop saying “wow this pizza is so good” the whole time we ate it. The service in the joint is also great, everyone is nice, friendly and upbeat. I am honestly kind of annoyed with myself that I just found out about this place after living nearby for a few years ? I will def be back soon!!

Refused me service after I told them I had a service animal. I tried to tell the owner he was violating federal law but he kicked me out saying he can’t have me inside even tho I told him I had a service animal.

This is the best pizza in the area. The Sicilian slices are perfection; crusty crispy focaccia on the bottom, a bit moist under the sauce, and oh-so-gooey cheese. The bruschetto Pesto slices are bursting with flavor. Awesome deliciousness all around.

I have been going to La Gondola now for well over 15 years and to this day, they are still my favorite pizzeria in North Jersey and beyond. Their pies are excellent and I love the crusts on their pizzas, it’s my favorite anywhere. The food has stayed excellent for all this time, the staff is always on top of their game, and it’s just my favorite spot. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
