We tried Favale’s while looking for a replacement for Brooklyn Pizza in Ridgewood, and we definitely found it.

When we first moved out of the city, we tried probably 30+ pizza places around the area, and Brooklyn was the only one we really loved because it reminded us of Grimaldi’s in NYC. So it made perfect sense when we found out Favale’s had gone through a couple of name changes and was originally Grimaldi’s.

The pizza is so much better when you eat it there and the best part of eating it there is that it’s a BYOB. Pizza and chopped salad are both amazing and worth going back for again and again. I usually do the breaded chicken on the pizza or in the salad and it’s perfectly crisp.

Best pizza in the area!! Wood fired, thin crust (but not too thin like you-know-who’s) with such high quality ingredients. Their appetizers (calamari, mussels) and pastas are also all so delicious. Highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana!
