Great place, good food, fantastic owner & service!

I entered this restaurant with a painfully empty stomach and left extremely full and satisfied. Every single dish my table ordered was so good. I can’t remember the names of all the dishes but just come here and order anything. It will most likely be delicious no matter what you get. The service is excellent as well. You can tell they really care about their customers and appreciate your business.

We had a good experience at the restaurant. The appetizer Honey Chili Crispy Lotus was not good unless you love honey. You could only taste honey in that dish. Wish we could have ordered some other appetizers. but other things were better. Malai kofta was good but just needed more curry so it doesn’t taste so dry, but naan and dal tadka were great. Portion sizes are very small compared to prices. But overall good experience.

Bombay River was my boyfriend and I’s first experience with authentic Indian cuisine. The staff immediately welcomed us when we arrived, and were very kind, informative, and attentive throughout the entire evening. They helped us understand the menu and explained dishes we were unfamiliar with. I got the spiced mango mok-tini, which was so unique and delicious. We got the chicken samosas, chicken butter masala, crab tikka masala, and rosemary naan. Everything we ate was divine. The highlight for me was the naan bread dipped into the butter masala sauce. There were also different spice levels you could customize your dish with, so various spice tolerances can be accommodated. (I don’t consider myself to have a very high spice tolerance, and the butter masala at medium spiciness was perfect for me.) I am excited to come back here and try more dishes!

Absolutely loved our experience at Bombay River in Red Bank, NJ! Visited today with family and everything we ordered was bursting with flavor — from the Chilli Paneer and Chicken 65 starters to the rich Saag Paneer and bold Chicken Chettinaad. The desserts were the perfect sweet ending and truly made our day. To top it off, the owners are from my hometown in India, which made the experience feel even more special. Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian food!

I must’ve ordered wrong bc every other reviewer loves this place. My takeout order was average at best as most of the dishes lacked flavor. The Rogan Josh and eggplant chat was good, but the roti was like cardboard and the raita had no flavor except for yogurt. Will try again, but not what I was hoping for on my first try.
