Best place and food for such an inexpensive and delicious meal ever! My husband lived in the area since birth and has loved going to Gus's his entire life and he brought me there and I couldn't agree more! I'm just so happy the daughter and son in law kept it going! You all rock!!!
Updated 1/20/2026, updated to 5 stars. Maybe I caught an off day last time. Today, although 20 degrees out, the buns were warm, the toppings generous.
Perfectly cooked sabrett hot dog.
$3/dog with one topping is a good deal. The chili had good flavor and texture. Cooked onions were homemade, not out of the jar. Good taste and nice spicy heat.
Always fun eating in the car watching the train go by.

My father used to love getting hots dogs here and would take us any time we had something to do south of the Navesink.
Now I get to bring my son here. Prices are fair and dogs are excellent.
