Came here about a week ago on a Saturday having a 7:30 pm reservation and it was quite the madhouse. Upon arriving there must have been about 20-30 people in the entrance way trying to get seated. The host wasn’t at the podium and each group was left to hunt down the host and it took us like 15-20 to finally get seated.The meal itself was okay. We shared some apps like the hummus and fried zucchini but was not blown away but it wasn’t bad either. The hummus was like a roasted red pepper hummus which was a bit runny and didn’t taste like chickpeas which I’m accustomed to from other Greek restaurants. Even the greek fries tasted like regular fries with just feta on top. They weren’t crunchy and I feel like they weren’t that authentically “greek”.For entrees we had their meat platter for 2 which didn’t come with any vegetables or bread, it was just served on a wooden board with like 2 sauces (and no spoons for the sauces). This must have been their first time serving this dish, i’m not sure how people can eat solely meat with no ways of building a pita or at least mixing it with some veggies. Furthermore it said all platters come with veggies yet ours didn’t.Now with the above complaint you’d say just ask your server, but the service was really bad - maybe it was due to the rush but that’s no excuse to bring everything out properly the first time. We eventually got 3 small pitas for an enormous meat board and never got any veggies due to the waitress never checking up on the table.I just don’t know why the hype and high reviews for this place. I’ve been to better greek restaurants in the area and it seems like this place has a lot to improve upon.

Being Greek, I can say the food is authentic. My experience has shown me the less fancy the atmosphere is, the more authentic and best flavourful the food is.
Very tasty and great quality authentic Greek/Mediterranean cuisine !We have been there some times, actually every time we are in the area and we have never been disappointed.Don't forget to try the spicy feta cheese, the pastitsio, and the baklava and galaktoboureko dessertsI had the pork souvlaki platter which was tasty and yummy.All the portions are big and usually you take the leftovers home...!Great and fast service...!Greatly recommended and you can thank me later on...!!!Keep up the good work guys ...!
My wife and I like Mediterranean food so we had to try the Greek Spot while in Red Bank. We were not disappointed! The place was very nice; classier than the name and exterior might imply. The service was great with pita and olive oil brought out immediately and frequently.The server and other attendants were extremely polite and friendly.The food - goodness! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge!We had hummus and pitas for an appetizer as well as Loukaniko, an excellent Greek sausage.My wife had chicken gyros, which they specifically made for her, and I had the Bifteki platter. Thus was no simple burger; the patties were perfectly spiced and cooked. It was a perfect complement to the rest of the platter which included spinach and rice.There was so much food that we each took home enough for another meal later in the day.All in all, it was a very enjoyable and affordable visit!

The food was excellent! The restaurant is BYOB luckily there's a liquor store directly across the street. Service is a tad slow. We had a show to go to, so we had a timeline. I'd go back if I was in the area for sure! Parking is a bit tight.

Worse Greek food ever , lamb I think was still alive it was that raw , I ask the person and she told me they always cook it that way , “ you have to ask for it well cooked”
Traditional Greek food! And I can say this because I visit Greece quite often!Fabulous ambiance service and dishes! If I need a Greek fix I'll save myself the trip and dine here!??????????❤️
The Greek spot is wonderful. For the past 3-4 years they have accommodated my WINGS group for our “galentines” event. The staff and mgmt go out of their way . Reasonable, great for groups and couples as well . Thanks Steve and staff for an amazing evening .

First time dining at The Greek Spot and we'll definitely go back. Nice decor and atmosphere. The appetizers and entrees were very good and our server Diane was terrific. If you're looking for a great experience and some delicious Greek food then this is the place!
