I'm so glad we went here the other night! I had read outstanding reviews and they were right. The food was amazing! It's pricy, but the quality makes it worth paying. That being said, I think it would have to be a “special occasion” place for us. I would kill to have their stuffed squash blossoms again!!! My husband and I each ordered them as our appetizers. For entrees, he had the chicken saltimbocca and I had the Chilean sea bass special. Amazing! I had read older reviews and was mistaken in thinking that it was a BYOB. It's not. They now have a full bar and charge a $15 per bottle corking fee if you bring your own. It was too warm in the restaurant that night, and Mother Nature was working against them with unbelievably hot air being let in every time a patron came in. The entry vestibule didn't do much to cool that air. The waiter apologized and pointed to the places on the wall where two new air conditioning units are soon to be located. Even at 6:30 on a Wednesday, the place was almost full and the people were undoubtedly contributing their own hot air to the restaurant! The food was beautifully presented as well. We are definitely adding Il Colosseo to our favorites and highly recommend it! Make sure you have a reservation!

We were a party of 5 on a busy Saturday night . Glad we had an early (6:15) reservation. This place does it right, with table linens, warm bread, olive oil, and exceptional service, led by our waiter, Paul. Portion sizes were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. This is probably our favorite place to dine in the Middletown/Red Bank area.

Food , service all excellent , only negative which a lot of restaurants have is noise level . Its was difficult to have a conversation across the table. . But all in all a good night

Excellent overall experience and food was amazing!! The noise is a little loud in there and they try to fit in a lot of seating in a small space. Wish it was a bigger restaurant, they probably would need 2 store fronts. Will definitely return again!

We had a party of 6. We walked in, the reception area was warm. Poor girl was perspiring and had a fan blowing on her. We sat by the window and 5 flies were banging against the window We asked the waiter 3 times about the air conditioning. Wr downloaded a temperature app2 and it wax 79 degrees
What a shame food good , restaurant needs 20 more tons of AC. WE Will not be back till October. Nobody wants to sweat eating dinner.

The food was excellent as always and so is the service. It's 100° outside with no air conditioning inside that made it an awful experience and the flies all over the place did not help. Sorry to put this negative review because I really like the place.

This is restaurant never disappoints. My wife and I have dined here on numerous occasions, but this was by far the best. We came early so we had the place virtually to ourselves for the first hour. Our waiter George was outstanding. He was attentive and professional while leaving us alone to enjoy our 25 th anniversary dinner. The food was homemade and delicious and paired perfectly with the Quintessa we brought back from Napa.
Such a great establishment with great food and drinks. Service was great as well, will come again!

It was very busy on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, so parking is not an issue. The food is authentic and the portions are generous. Solid spot with gluten free pasta. 🍝 they can make almost any dish gluten free the GF calamari was extremely good. Highly recommended. Wasn’t the best place I’ve ever been to but it was solid
