I had the pleasure of dining here last night with wife. I work in a field where I get the luxury of dining in places where getting a reservation is unheard of. Most of the time its an experience that I'm very happy with, but rarely do I leave looking forward to visiting again. This is the place where from your last bite you are already planning your next visit, who you want to bring and what you want try next. I highly recommend visiting this little strip mall treasure.
Dinner was delicious. Service was spotty. Table set without silverware. When we told server, he looked like we couldn't be correct. Took him a few minutes to come back with it. Took order for a bottle of wine but didn't ask the gentlemen what they would like to drink. When one of the guys asked for their first cocktail, the server left without asking if the other would also like a beverage. So it took 3 trips for everyone to have a drink!
If you are seeking authentic and high-quality Italian cuisine, Il Colosseo consistently delivers an excellent experience. The staff are well-trained; I overheard one server providing a detailed history of the restaurant to a first-time guest, demonstrating their knowledge and professionalism.
