We had our Christmas work party here- there were 9 of us! Everything was wonderful, from the service to apps-dinner- and dessert! I will definitely be going back!

All I can say is, it was a wonderful experience. A party of eight for a birthday celebration.
From the time our party sat down, prompt reservations @ 3:00. Total perfection.
Appetizers were absolutely delicious, five different ones, each better than the other.
Entrees came out in perfect unison. Wonderful, tasty, authentic Italian Dinners. Again, everyone was on point, delicious.
Lastly desserts. Chocolate Mousse, Italian & American Cheese Cake, coffee.
Looking foward to returning again, real soon.
The staff, curtious, professional, kind, helpful and well versed on the menu, specials etc.
Thank you La Pastaria

One word , horrible and comical at the same time. Waiter didn’t really know the menu and had a hard time telling us about it. Got the wrong appetizer and were told he hit the wrong button on the computer. The shrimp meal dishes were swimming in an uneatable red pepper flakes sauce. Asked for a white sauce pasta and received a boiled pasta topped with burnt garlic that was horrible. The best part was the bill. It came with a total of over $1200 for the 3 of us. My daughter got involved with the waiter and had it corrected after two attempts. We were charged for items not received. I honestly think if they don’t fire the cook and waiter they won’t be around for too long. I wrote an email and sent a snail mail to the owner. Waiting to see what happens as I should be refunded my hard earned money for this horrible, horrible experience.

HORRIFIC - If I could put zero stars I would. It was my First Wedding Anniversary and I had made an 8:00 p.m. reservation for 6 people. There was no issue making the reservation. Upon arrival we saw one other table paying their bill and staff began to clean the other table. This didn't bother us initially because we were celebrating a very special day. As we waited for our food the waiters/waitresses cleaned up the rest of the tables. The other table had left and we were the only table remaining. With that being said, you can imagine how uncomfortable it would be sitting with your group, and seeing tables next to you with chairs on top of tables as staff cleaned underneath. This is not my idea of a celebration. As the staff continued to clean, our meals arrived. My meal (chicken franchise) arrived with one piece of chicken on the plate. (We later learned the next day from the OWNER that they ran out of meat). UNACCEPTABLE! We were rushed to finish our meals and by the time we left all tables and chairs were cleaned. Why take a reservation if you were going to clean during that time? Additionally, we informed you that this was a special event. Furthermore, my Father, a regular of the restaurant, called the owner to explain his disappointment, and the owner offer him $25 towards the restaurant. My father, clearly offended, did not accept. The owner offered $50 and my father again explained that amount of money barely paid for the tip of the 6 people who were at the reservation. The owner made it clear that that was "the best that she could do." This was the biggest insult a regular customer could ever receive. We will never return. Not only is the quality of food average, but the customer service is horrific. Do not accept reservations if you are planning to close early, ESPECIALLY if it is a special event which was clearly indicated at the time of reservation.

Not even close to a real Italian reastaurant and the food was simpy awful. One of the worst pizza we've ever had. Rissotto balls made from a normal white rice! Very bitter! Also very strong smell and chlorine flavor in the ice and water. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Highly disappointed. Reservation for 5 @530 on a Sunday ..we were the only table there. They were playing loud Christmas music in September. After 20 minutes our server finally came back to our table. I do not think he spoke English so it was hard to ask questions about the menu and order. When the food came out, it was just ok. The eggplant/ sausage lasagna special was very good. The penne vodka sauce was probably the worst I have ever had. Tasted just like a marinara. My friend ordered a chicken dish and got just that....no side. Service was atrocious. We had to ask for everything, her side dish, salt and pepper, grated cheese...and bread. Not quite sure what kind of bread it was supposed to be as it had the consistency of pound cake. It's been awhile since we've been here and will not be going back. The prices are very reasonable, but there are hundreds of other options between Monmouth and Ocean County. By the way, when we left, the was only 1 table. We were 1 of 3 all evening.

The salads and pasta dishes were great. Loved our server. Bring your own wine to go with the meal. Nice fun night out with friends.

Atmosphere is great. Really nicely decorated place. Only recommendations would be play Italian music in there not the radio, increase the calamari appetizer portion size. Not worth it currently. The Ceasar salad tasted like it was Italian instead. Confirmed order with waiter but Ceasar isn't clear dressing.

Dinner last night was excellent! The service was spot on and the food was excellent. I had grilled fish of the day which was Grouper and they gave me some delish garlic sauted spinach since mine didn't come with anything. My husband had the Bolanaise Pappadelle which was awesome. Love it therr and it's still a BYOB!
